Booked through Airbnb, Huttopia is a utopia in name only. We arrived late, were checked in hastily, found no towels or sheets on site, no toiletries, and the next day there was no breakfast because we hadn’t reserved it in advance. In short, a utopia!

While the setting matches the photos and is very pleasant, the value for money is poor.
In fact, we had just spent 10 days at Huttopia Val des Prés for a third of the price (that’s not just a figure of speech—it’s the reality), where we were able to enjoy numerous, varied, and free activities (tree climbing, biathlon, two shows per week, beekeeping...). Here, at €100 per night, there are fewer activities, and they cost extra. Furthermore, the campsites are very far from the common areas (separate entrance for campers, no trash cans nearby...), which makes you feel like you’re not really part of the clientele... in fact, the weekly schedule isn’t announced to campers (on Monday for Monday’s events). Add to that a few supply issues at the bar (no ice cream for two days)...
As a bonus, we were lucky enough to arrive on the evening when the seasonal staff were partying... right next to the campers.

We were disappointed with our stay. The setting is certainly very pleasant, with a natural, shaded environment that makes you want to recharge, but that isn’t enough to make up for several negative aspects.

Given the price (over €260 per night for a trapper tent in early August 2026), we expected a much higher quality of service. The accommodations and facilities are poorly maintained in some areas (torn tent, broken toilet seat, worn-out deck boards), and are uncomfortable, particularly the outdoor furniture: minimalist (only one lounge chair for a 5-person tent) and frankly uncomfortable. The pool is nice but quickly gets overcrowded in this heat, and we were never able to find a lounge chair to relax on (there are clearly not enough of them).

The atmosphere remains calm and is probably pleasant for camping enthusiasts, and the staff is very attentive and approachable, but that doesn’t make up for our overall disappointment and the feeling that we paid a high price for an experience that doesn’t live up to the advertised standard of quality.

A beautiful campground with phenomenal views. The young staff pays a lot of attention to individual guests, so you may have to be a little patient at times.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife and I were traveling to Spain in our RV at the end of June 2026. Near Lyon, we spontaneously looked for a place to stay overnight and found the Huttopia Pays de Condrieu campground. We weren’t disappointed—quite the opposite!

Even though we arrived after the official reception closing time and didn’t have a reservation, we were given a very warm welcome.
On the phone, they simply said, “Just come by; you can still check in.”
We were immediately impressed by this uncomplicated and friendly
    approach.

The entire property is beautifully situated in the woods, is very well-maintained, pleasantly quiet, and invites you to relax.
    All the staff were exceptionally
    friendly and helpful.

We felt completely at home and will definitely be back on our next trip to Spain
    .
Many thanks to the entire team
    for the wonderful stay!

We just got back from a family weekend.

    Pros:
    - The location/setting is truly magnificent, surrounded by nature with a splendid view
    - The pool is the right temperature and clean
    - There are free outdoor and indoor games available
    - It doesn’t feel “crowded,” which is nice—there’s plenty of space

    Cons:
    - Our toilet seat was defective and only stayed on one side, and apparently it couldn’t be repaired until “the end of summer”… when you’re paying €500 for a weekend rental, that’s a bit of a hassle
    - The exorbitant prices for food, even though there’s no table service (we have to pick up our meals at the bar, set the table ourselves, clear the table…). Furthermore, at dinner we were told there were no more salads, even though salads are a major part of the menu…
    - No extension cords in the tents, so the fan is plugged in very far from the bed. With the current temperatures, that’s a shame.
    - The outdoor furniture leaves something to be desired in terms of comfort

In summary, the location is magnificent, but there are improvements to be made to optimize the value for money.
