As a camper, you quickly get the feeling that you’re tucked away in a corner of the grounds. The emphasis is clearly on renting out accommodations, which makes it feel less like a real campground. That might also contribute to the somewhat dull atmosphere on the grounds.
The camping area itself is in a beautiful, quiet location, with plenty of shade and spacious sites. However, it’s a drawback that you have to walk about 6–7 minutes to the reception desk, the pool, the restaurant, and the other amenities.
We found the restrooms to be mediocre. They look a bit dingy and could use better maintenance. For example, water pooled in the shower, and the sinks are all located outdoors with little privacy.
On the other hand, the pool is pleasant and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The other amenities, including the restaurant, are fine. They are a bit pricey, though.
The surroundings are beautiful: the Parc naturel régional du Pilat is nearby, and cities like Lyon and Vienne are easily accessible. The famous wine regions of Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu are also just around the corner.
All in all, we felt the value for money for a campsite wasn’t quite right. For over €100 a night, we believe you should expect much, much more—especially since you can find comparable campsites for less money.
Due to the strong focus on renting out accommodations, we as campers would probably not choose to stay here again anytime soon.this is a translation, click here for the original

Booked through Airbnb, Huttopia is a utopia in name only. We arrived late, were checked in hastily, found no towels or sheets on site, no toiletries, and the next day there was no breakfast because we hadn’t reserved it in advance. In short, a utopia!

While the setting matches the photos and is very pleasant, the value for money is poor.
In fact, we had just spent 10 days at Huttopia Val des Prés for a third of the price (that’s not just a figure of speech—it’s the reality), where we were able to enjoy numerous, varied, and free activities (tree climbing, biathlon, two shows per week, beekeeping...). Here, at €100 per night, there are fewer activities, and they cost extra. Furthermore, the campsites are very far from the common areas (separate entrance for campers, no trash cans nearby...), which makes you feel like you’re not really part of the clientele... in fact, the weekly schedule isn’t announced to campers (on Monday for Monday’s events). Add to that a few supply issues at the bar (no ice cream for two days)...
As a bonus, we were lucky enough to arrive on the evening when the seasonal staff were partying... right next to the campers.this is a translation, click here for the original

We were disappointed with our stay. The setting is certainly very pleasant, with a natural, shaded environment that makes you want to recharge, but that isn’t enough to make up for several negative aspects.
Given the price (over €260 per night for a trapper tent in early August 2026), we expected a much higher quality of service. The accommodations and facilities are poorly maintained in some areas (torn tent, broken toilet seat, worn-out deck boards), and are uncomfortable, particularly the outdoor furniture: minimalist (only one lounge chair for a 5-person tent) and frankly uncomfortable. The pool is nice but quickly gets overcrowded in this heat, and we were never able to find a lounge chair to relax on (there are clearly not enough of them).
The atmosphere remains calm and is probably pleasant for camping enthusiasts, and the staff is very attentive and approachable, but that doesn’t make up for our overall disappointment and the feeling that we paid a high price for an experience that doesn’t live up to the advertised standard of quality.this is a translation, click here for the original

A beautiful campground with phenomenal views. The young staff pays a lot of attention to individual guests, so you may have to be a little patient at times.
