General information

With a private jacuzzi and a secluded waterside location, this charming driftwood log cabin is a special place to unwind. From your bed, you can enjoy a beautiful view through the large bay window, while the small private mooring jetty among the reeds offers a peaceful spot for your boat. Inside, you will find a bright living room with a unique table and high stools made of twisted wood, as well as a small sofa and air conditioning. There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a modern en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet. There is also a coffee machine, kettle and a wine cellar with local wines.

Outside, a covered dining table with loungers and a small garden set awaits, while the private jacuzzi invites you to relax. Towels and bathrobes are provided. During your stay, you have a private rowboat at your disposal, which you can use for paddling, fishing or reaching the swimming pool and snack bar across the water. The log cabin is close to the playground and car park, making unloading easy. Please note that there may be minor disturbance from other holidaymakers arriving and leaving to park at any time.

    We spent four nights at the Borealis. It was a wonderful experience. The welcome was very warm, and the instructions were very clear.

    The accommodations were top-notch—clean, well-appointed—and the terrace was simply excellent, with its table, lounge chairs, and hot tub. It’s ideal for fishing—I managed to catch some nice fish (carp, pike, etc.). The breakfast basket was sufficient, and the evening meal baskets were very good and hearty. A light lunch is available. The pool is very cozy and quiet. The hot tub was a bit intense with the air at 36° and the water at 37°, but the maintenance team quickly lowered the temperature for us.

    It was hard to leave!

    As for a few minor areas for improvement: provide mosquito nets! With the intense heat, the first night was terrible—it was hot, and we didn’t want to overuse the AC… Opening the windows was a mistake because of the mosquitoes, so in the end, we ended up overusing the AC. Also, a bit too much “beeping” for a natural setting—turn around with the golf carts instead of backing up, ban fish finders, or require that their volume be turned down.

    All in all, I highly recommend it—we’ll definitely be back. It’s a beautiful place, and they’ve made great efforts to make it so welcoming. Luxury is an experience you can truly enjoy at the estate.

    Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans le Borealis. Une superbe expérience. L'accueil était très chaleureux et les explications très claires.

    Le logement était au top, propre, bien agencé et la terrasse était tout simplement excellente avec sa table, ses chaises longues et le spa. Idéal pour la pèche, j'ai pu faire quelques belles prises (carpes, brochets...). Le panier petit déjeuner était suffisant et les paniers repas du soir étaient très bon et copieux. Un snack à midi est possible. La piscine est très cozy et calme. Le spa fût un peu violent avec l'air à 36° et l'eau à 37°, mais le service technique nous a rapidement baisser la température.

    Ça a fait mal de partir !

    Pour les petits points à améliorer: prévoir des moustiquaires! avec les fortes chaleurs la première nuit a été terrible, il faisait chaud et l'on ne voulait pas abuser de la clim... aérer fût une erreur avec les moustiques, finalement on a abuser de la clim. Aussi, un peu trop de "bip" pour un espace nature, faire demi tour avec les voiturettes plutôt que des marches arrières, interdire les détecteurs pour les pêcheurs ou imposer de couper le volume de ceux-ci.

    Voilà, je recommande vivement, on y reviendra pour sûr, un très bel endroit et de beaux efforts pour le rendre s'y accueillant. Le luxe est une expérience que l'on peut vitre au domaine.

    We were pleasantly surprised to discover this unique spot not too far from home. And it was a pleasant surprise. First of all, we were made to feel very welcome, with clear explanations. We settled into our cabin—the one furthest back—and it was a real pleasure to explore it. We appreciated how clean the place was and how peaceful it was. Everything is thoughtfully designed to ensure a peaceful stay. We also enjoyed the beautiful lagoon-style pool and the bar, which had affordable prices. We wanted some time just the two of us, and that’s exactly what we got. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back… to recharge.

    Nous avons eu la surprise de découvrir ce lieu atypique pas trop loin de chez nous. Et c'est une agréable surprise. D'abord, nous avons été très bien reçu, avec des explications claires. Nous avons pris possession de notre cabane, la plus reculée, et ce fut un vrai plaisir de la découvrir. Nous avons apprécié la propreté des lieux, et le calme. Tout est bien pensé afin de passer un moment paisible. Nous avons aussi profité de la belle piscine lagon, et du bar, avec des prix abordables. Nous voulions un moment à deux, et nous l'avons eu.     A wonderful experience. A lovely cottage. “Le Végetal.” The packed lunch and breakfast were excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. One minor downside: the amenities didn’t quite live up to the cost of the stay. Coffee and tea are available. A free bottle of water, tissues, and paper placemats would make the stay even better. Fishing, paddleboat rides, and padel tennis could be included in the stay.
