The Ponza tent offers 20 m² of space for five people. It is a converted tent where you can sleep close to nature, with some extra comfort inside. The kitchen is fully equipped, so even cooking feels like coming home. There are no private sanitary facilities; for that, you use the communal facilities at the campsite.

For other sanitary facilities and amenities, you walk to the main building of the campsite.

    Cancellation of stay


    Cancellation (total or partial) by the CUSTOMER: If the CUSTOMER wishes to cancel his stay, he must notify ONLYCAMP by sending an e-mail to the camping address. ONLYCAMP reminds the CUSTOMER that in the absence of cancellation according to the provisions of this article, the CUSTOMER will be obliged to pay the entire amount due under the Contract. Regardless of the cancellation date, the file and optional insurance fees are non-refundable. The date of acknowledgment of receipt of the cancellation email shall determine any cancellation fee according to the rate below:

    In rental housing :

    • cost of 40% up to 30 days before the arrival date
    • cost of 100% from 29 days before the arrival date

    Cancellation by ONLYCAMP (excluding force majeure) : In the event of cancellation before the CUSTOMER's departure from his residence to the CAMPING AREA, the amounts paid by the CUSTOMER will be refunded in full by ONLYCAMP after notification of the cancellation by e-mail or registered letter and according to the provisions of article L 214-1 of the Consumer Code. In the event of cancellation after the CUSTOMER's departure from his place of residence to the campsite of his Lodging, ONLYCAMP undertakes to offer to CUSTOMERS an equivalent Lodging whereby possible price increases may be borne and, if the services accepted by the CUSTOMER are of inferior quality, ONLYCAMP will refund him the difference.

    No use of additional services: Additional services booked by the CUSTOMER and not used by him will not entitle him to a refund.

    STAYS / OFFERS / RATES NON-CANCELLABLE AND EXCHANGEABLE ONLYCAMP may offer stays at advantageous rates on certain dates that are non-modifiable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable. Therefore, ONLYCAMP will not consider requests for modification or cancellation: no refunds will be possible, including reimbursement of additional services booked.

What you should know about the park

Camping de Besançon is located on the banks of the Doubs, just a stone's throw from the city center of Besançon. If you arrive at the park via the EuroVélo6 route, you can safely store your bike in the covered bike shed and immediately feel at home. Next to the campsite, there's a swimming complex covering more than 3 hectares, where you can swim laps in a 50-meter Olympic pool, slide down the pentagliss, or let the little ones splash around in the splashpad with water jets. Access is free for guests of the campsite. In between, you can grab a snack on the terrace overlooking the pool or buy local products at the small grocery store in the park. In the evening, you can play a game on the pétanque court, while Besançon, the historic capital of Franche-Comté, is within cycling distance for those who want to explore the city.

    The restrooms are unisex and not very well maintained or clean. The entire park could use a bit more upkeep. The playground, on the other hand, is new but better suited for older children. The shopping center nearby is also on a busy street, which you can hear depending on where you are. Public transportation to the city takes about 15 minutes. By bike, it’s much faster, taking about 35 minutes to get to the city.

    Sanitäre Anlagen sind unisex und wenig gepflegt bzw sauber. Ganzer Platz bedürfte etwas mehr Pflege. Spielplatz ist dafür neu aber eher für ältere Kinder. Einkaufszentrum in Nähe ebenfalls eine stark befahrene Strasse, die man je nach Platz hört. ÖV für in die Stadt erreicht man innert 15 Min. Mit dem Velo ist man viel schneller und hat ça 35 mon bis in die Stadt.

    The campground is located near a large city, but you really don’t hear a thing from it. It’s truly quiet, even after 10:30 p.m. The receptionist, who also speaks English, gave us a clear, friendly, and helpful explanation. The spot we had reserved was partially blocked by a large RV parked next to it. We were given a list of reserved spots and could choose freely from the rest. Well organized. Great bread service. Too bad about the restrooms, which mostly had cold water and weren’t cleaned well; otherwise, it would have been a perfect score. It was especially disappointing that the Olympic-sized pool was closed for renovations and that this wasn’t mentioned on the website.

    De camping ligt bij een grote stad, maar daar hoor je echt niets van. Echt stil , ook na22:30. Nette, vrolijke, duidelijke uitleg van ook Engels sprekende receptioniste. De plaats die gereserveerd was, werd door een er naast staande grote camper deels geblokkeerd. Kregen lijstje van gereserveerde plaatsen en konden uit de rest vrij zoeken. Prima geregeld . Prima broodjes service. Jammer van het sanitair dat meestal koud water gaf en slecht werd schoon gemaakt, anders prima score. Extra jammer dat het bijna olympische zwembad gesloten was ivm renovatie en dat dit niet op de site aangegeven wordt.

    We stayed here for two nights without a reservation. Everything was fine—the restrooms were okay, and we could bike into downtown in no time. The campground has plenty of trees, and an ice cream truck comes by in the evenings. The paths are mostly bike-friendly, even if the road layout around the campground is a bit confusing. Besançon is worth seeing, but it’s not one of the most beautiful French cities.

    Wir waren für 2 Nächte ohne Vorbuchung hier. Es hat alles gepasst, Sanitär ok, mit dem Rad in die Innenstadt in kurzer Zeit. Der Platz cat viel Baumbestand, abends kommt ein Eiswagen über den Platz. Die Wege sind meistens Rad freundlich, auch wenn die Straßenführung um den Campingplatz etwas irreführend ist. Besonćan kann mann ansehen, gehört aber nicht zu den schönsten französischrn Städten.
