Guests praise the fantastic location right on the river La Loue, perfect for swimming, canoeing and building dams. The staff is friendly, helpful and responds quickly to requests. The spacious, green pitches offer plenty of privacy and shade, and the swimming pool is a welcome addition. The surrounding area is ideal for trips to waterfalls, cheese dairies and picturesque towns. Points of attention include the sanitary facilities (sometimes not thoroughly cleaned, low water pressure, dated facilities) and the roads with many potholes.

We are a family of 4 that visited in a campervan in late July/August. The pitch size was generous, we were located near the shower blocks which were fine. Washing up area is outside which is fine in the nice weather but we experienced a few storms whereby the washing up area is very exposed. Plenty of toilets both inside and outside, showers unisex and busy at times.
We booked the campsite for the location on a river however swimming is prohibited in the river due to algae.
The campsite swimming pool was not great. The pool is so murky that you cannot see your own feet and good luck finding a sinky with your child. I do find this aspect incredibly dangerous with so many young families.
The onsite shop is lacking and there is no other supermarket within walking distance so I would advise sticking up before you visit.
Overall I would say fine for a few days but not a campsite for a 1 or 2 week holiday. -

This campground is terrible and the pool is unsanitary
I paid 100 euros to choose my site (with a student who had clearly never set foot there before)—the result was perfectly fine, but I think it was just a fluke... The restrooms were terrible (whereas the other Huttopia sites I’ve visited deserve 5 stars)—they smelled like mud and the bottom of a cellar... The area around the pool and the pool itself were downright off-putting... mud, a bad smell, and murky water. I couldn’t even see my own feet. I don’t know how the others managed… despite my request for cleaning (done half-heartedly and grudgingly—they cleaned 4 m² out of the 50 that needed it and put up a “slippery floor” sign). And certainly no water quality test results were available. Swimming in the river was banned by the municipality due to the heat wave (which caused the presence of cyanobacteria), but this fact was blithely dismissed by the campers and staff. The staff consists entirely of very friendly but completely inexperienced students. In short, I wasn’t exactly impressed.
