Looking for a truly unique stay on the French coast? This 19th-century windmill in Cherrueix, Brittany, offers a special holiday experience in a beautifully restored historic monument, just a short distance from the sea. From here, you can enjoy wide views of the coast and, on clear days, even Mont Saint-Michel in the distance.

Inside, the windmill still has plenty of its original character, with stone walls, wooden beams and a fireplace that adds extra atmosphere. The living area is located on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find the sleeping area, and on the top floor there is a low mezzanine that works well as a cosy reading corner or extra place to relax.

Outside, the windmill is surrounded by its own 900 m² natural garden, giving you plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the peaceful setting. Dogs are welcome too. Because of the tides, the coastline changes throughout the day, creating a unique landscape to explore.

The shower and laundry room are located in a separate annex, which adds to the simple, outdoor character of the stay. Bed linen and towels are not included, but can be rented for an extra fee.

With its location between Brittany and Normandy, this windmill is also a great base for day trips along the coast. After a day out, you return to a stay full of charm and character.
