Summary created out of 181 reviews

The park is appreciated for its staff, central location in Alsace and peaceful setting by a stream. Guests praise the nearby municipal swimming pool facility that is freely accessible. Key areas for improvement are the hygiene of sanitary facilities (often described as dirty and poorly maintained), inconsistent customer service, limited opening hours of bar and restaurant, and insufficient enforcement of campsite rules.

When I made my reservation, the information provided was nothing like what I saw when I arrived. For example, the pool isn’t on the campground; it opens at 11:30 a.m., but they don’t tell you that—even though it’s right next to the campground, they should make that clear. They say there’s ENTERTAINMENT all day and in the evening (one activity leader for adults and children). You quickly run out of things to do with the activities (not great), and they aren’t even all day long… vendors show up, and no one’s aware of it… there’s a market one evening a week selling local products, fruits, and vegetables—you go there, and no one’s there…You arrive with one extra person on your site; when you booked, you were told that if that person came along, you’d only have to pay the visitor’s tax. At the office, you confirm that the person is indeed there, but they charge you for one extra person plus their visitor’s tax—despite written proof froman email stating you only need to pay the tourist tax... In short, I won’t be coming back—it’s a real shame; we’re a long way from the “Camping Paradis” dream.

The restroom block near the campsites is out of service; you have to walk all the way across the campground to take a shower. The timer in the showers is way too short—you end up in the dark as soon as you turn on the shower.
There aren’t enough trash cans in the walkways.
There are no trash cans in the showers or restrooms either. There aren’t enough shelves or hooks to hang a bag near the restrooms, and in the showers, there isn’t even a shelf to put soap and shampoo on.
We went to eat with friends near the mobile homes, and the chair legs went right through the deck boards—very dangerous.
To find your site, not all the numbers are clearly visible; you have to get out of the van and walk around the hedges to locate it.
In short, for a “paradise” campground, it’s disappointing. It’s the little things that make a stay enjoyable—or that get on your nerves—because when you point out that the showers lack trash cans, you’re told that’s normal because people are so careless. And when you report the issue with the timer, two days later, nothing has been done.
