The concept of this campground really appeals: no wifi (except at main building) to be reconnected with each other and nature. From reviews I understood that the campground consists of two parts, by the road or by the river. There are pitches and glamping tents, the latter you cannot reach by car, each tent seems to have its own kind of luggage cart, which seems to me quite heavy uphill but at the same time real camping. We could choose our spot by the river by first looking, we chose spot 9. Everything to our left is right on the river (number 8 a.o.) without a fence in front of it, which is exceptional for what we are used to, on photos it always looks better, here it is really beautiful! Swimming is not allowed, there is a sign that swimming and dam building will disturb aquatic life. The park is beautiful, although at the beach I saw plastic in the bushes (only there). Many people try to walk along the river, tip for the park to make this a reality? The current is strong, you can hear the sound clearly. There is a separate cottage for dishwashing however I only had cold water here, at sanitary building you do have hot water. Showering was difficult at first; small jet if you wanted a hot shower, you almost stand on the drain, everything gets wet and it is cold in the building when it is windy. In handicapped shower though fine jet and separate hand shower and some more space so things stay dry. Beautiful sinks and mirrors everywhere, you can see yourself and the mountains in the background. Pool not used, both parts of the campground have one (medium to small). Playgrounds also nice and cozy string of lights at night. With the dog you can walk behind cottage 233 (actually 234 but I could not find it). You can then make a considerable trip up the hill, we have walked about 6 km, beautiful view of mountains however via the highway back, unclear how else you can walk, park can invest with clear walking route, this is where you look as a dog owner when booking. We loved it, of course also had the luck of low season. Prices in 'store' at reception are steep, jar of pesto 3.50, tuc cookies 3 euros 50, ketchups 3 euros something. In short, double price compared to supermarket. We got fries, 5 euros for a portion (well fried). We traveled as a couple with vw camper and dog. We would definitely come back!

We zouden zeker terugkomen!

The location of this site is really wonderful and the pitches on the river are worth it especially the one we had with direct access to the beach. However the facilities need much improvement the showers are awful some don’t work with only a small dribble or no pressure at all or freezing cold. Cubicles are tiny with no room for your belongings. Most people ended up queuing for the disabled showers. The water was freezing on all taps for washing up and no hand towels or dryers anywhere to dry your hands after washing them after using the toilets. When it’s cold in the mornings it’s not nice. It was a cold couple of days there and the sanitary was not great to help with this.

Very beautiful, idyllic campsite right on the Verdon. We were here with the camper and had a pitch right by the river. At the reception there is lots of information about all kinds of activities, a small selection of food and you can order bread rolls. The bar and pizza were also very tasty. We had a great stay! The only thing was the hot water, which wasn't available when washing up and the showers weren't super hot either, but everything else was great.
