Shepherd’s hut - 4 persons

We just got back from an overnight stay at the campground: 4 out of 8 of us have our arms and legs covered in bumps.

Yet the campground had previously been closed due to processionary caterpillars. Despite the warning signs posted at the entrance, the staff on site explained to us that the itching was most likely caused by residual caterpillar hairs in the mattresses...

Reopening to the public without cleaning, sanitizing, or replacing the infested bedding is unacceptable. Posting signs does not exempt the facility from providing clean and healthy accommodations.

Wonderful campground! The bed was a bit narrow, though. The bathroom door creaked loudly. And unfortunately, there were oak processionary caterpillars everywhere, which really made your skin crawl. But no mosquitoes. We did see a little hedgehog and a robin scurrying around near the tent.
The pool was great; the pizza was just okay one time and good the next. Friendly staff. It was nice to discover this campground with our teenagers.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with this campground.
We were there in July, so it was peak season.
The biggest downside is without a doubt the restrooms. They were often very dirty, there are far too few restrooms, and on top of that, they’re located far from the restaurant and the pool. That’s very inconvenient. We also found it strange that you have to clean the tables yourself in the restaurant.

In addition, the campground is very densely laid out. The campsites are close together, and the tall laurel hedges surrounding each one make the campground feel cluttered. With two children aged 7 and 3, we didn’t find that practical. As a result, the layout isn’t pleasant and lacks an open, cozy atmosphere.

Although the campground is located in a forest, you can constantly hear the highway in the background. The traffic is clearly audible and prevents the area from being truly quiet.

The only real positives for us were the pool and the pizzas; they were very tasty. Unfortunately, for us, that doesn’t make up for the many downsides. Due to the dirty restrooms, the crowded layout, the confusing layout, and the noise from the highway, we wouldn’t recommend this campground. On top of that, you pay a lot of money for a night’s stay. You’d think you could expect a little more for that!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this Huttopia campground. The hospitality and services were impeccable, and the entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional.

The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by trees. The two swimming pools are particularly pleasant, and the shared restrooms are cleaned very regularly.

We also really enjoyed the many activities on offer: storytelling nights, concerts on the terrace, tree climbing… There’s something for the whole family! The kids can play on their own thanks to the many facilities available to them.

As for the food, the pizzas are delicious. It’s also very convenient to be able to order bread and pastries for the next morning—especially since they’re excellent.

We really enjoyed this stay and will happily return next year. A wonderful place to enjoy peaceful moments with the family!

Another great vacation at Huttopua. Friendly and welcoming staff. Always ready to answer your questions or have a quick chat. I stayed in the Bonaventura tent for 7 days with my dog, and everything you need to make it a great vacation is there. You can find all kinds of food and drinks on-site. If you want to cook something yourself, it’s easy to get to the town center—just a half-hour walk. Plus, there are plenty of activities at the campground if you’re traveling with your family. Personally, I chose to take several dips in the pool every day. Awesome!

I have no idea where the previous negative reviews came from.
