Fabulous camping with all the amenities needed,with pool also. 30min cycle to Mont St Michel. Carrefour 10 min walk and fuel. Everything you need from a campsite.

The camping site is really nice with a lot of amenities and generally just a few things to improve. Like the shower that wets everything you take into the cabin, and the washbasins that have nice large framing where you could theoretically put things but the water from the nozzle spills water everywhere. Unfortunately, we had a terrible last night at the camping site. Youngsters from the village had rented a mobile home next to our caravan and had a party. Talking to them didn’t help much. At least my partner managed to sleep a bit and we had to embark a 2 days journey home the next morning. What was worst, the “emergency phone number” of the camping site just had an automatic answer telling to call the next morning or leave a message. I left a message. Nobody answered. The next morning I complained with management and was told that this problem is well known. Great! If the camp site is flooded (and looking at the river next to the site makes this a more than possible scenario) or there are burglars on the site or anything else happens, help yourself! This is unacceptable! Besides, the lesson I have learned: avoid camp sites with mobile homes. People who rent them are no campers. They come for all sorts of reasons, but not necessarily for love of nature and “slow life”. If you cannot avoid the site, then at least stay as far away from the mobile homes as possible.

Mooie camping aan een fietspad van 8 km rechtstreeks naar de Mont-Saint-Michel. Nette plaatsen afgebakend met heggen. Het sanitair is voor Franse begrippen erg goed. Er zijn voldoende nette toiletten met wc papier, wel zonder wc bril, maar dat vind ik geen probleem. Ze worden ook regelmatig schoongemaakt. Het enige nadeel bij de douche vind ik dat er geen schapje is om even te zitten om je voeten af te drogen. Ook voldoende nette was- en afwasplaatsen. Er speelt een muziekje, alleen is jazz en reggae nu niet echt mijn smaak 😉 Bij de receptie spreekt men goed Engels en volgens mij ook Duits. Je kunt er brood bestellen, maar wij vonden het niet echt lekker en hebben toen elke dag brood bij de supermarkt gehaald, die is op 600 meter van de camping. Erg handig. De croissantjes zijn wel prima. Er is een leuk zwembadje, maar daar zijn we niet aan toegekomen. Te druk gehad met fietsen op de pas aangelegde fietspaden hier in de buurt. Op de camping is wifi. Hij is af en toe wel wat traag, maar hij doet het! Er staan ook veel stacaravans en huurtenten, maar daar was nu bijna niemand en daar weten we verder ook niets van. Vooraan is een soort kinderboerderij en wat speeldingen voor kinderen. Het stadje Pontorson ligt op loopafstand en kerkklok van Pontorson slaat elke morgen om 7 uur erg uitbundig, dat mocht van mij ook om 8 uur zijn 😊
