    Review of a Bad Experience

We stayed in a mobile home for 2 adults and 2 children, arriving and departing on a Saturday.

Upon arrival, we had to wait an hour and a half in the blazing sun to pick up the keys to the mobile home. Everyone was standing in line without knowing why, and no staff members were present to organize the line or provide any explanations.

As for the pool, we found it dirty, with people swimming in T-shirts or beach shorts, which clearly poses a hygiene issue. Furthermore, there was no lifeguard on duty. Both times we went to the pool, the water slides were out of order.
According to the sign, the pool is supposed to close at 8 p.m., but almost every night, some people stay more than 20 minutes past closing time without anyone saying anything to them. Yet the waitresses are right across from the pool and could easily step in or announce closing time.

In the evening, it was also impossible to enjoy any peace and quiet. Young people were making noise until 3 or 4 a.m., and no security guard was present. In the end, the owner had to ride his bike over to enforce quiet hours. And this happened practically every night. We were even forced to go out and ask them ourselves to keep the noise down in the middle of the night—not exactly a pleasant experience for a vacation.

As for the services, there were plenty of problems there, too: want to eat a pizza at the campground? The oven is broken. Want to pay at the grocery store? The register is broken. Just want to grab an ice cream at the bar in the evening? The waitress spins around and seems to have already forgotten why you’re there…

The staff, for the most part, barely smiles and seems largely uninterested, with the exception of the activity leader, who is truly very pleasant and cheerful from morning to night.

The campground’s overall maintenance also leaves much to be desired. Between the mobile homes, the grass sometimes grows nearly a meter tall, which attracts a lot of mosquitoes and gives the impression of neglect.

To sum up, we really felt that the rules weren’t being followed and that the staff had a “I don’t care” attitude. For a campground advertised as a 4-star property—and especially given the price we paid—we clearly expected a much better experience.

The positive aspect? The activity leader and the campground’s location—there’s plenty to do nearby.

So for us, this will be our first and last time at this campground.

5 stars for the activity leader
    0 for the campground

We were delighted to have spent a wonderful week at this campground. The activity leader, Talou, is great—always smiling. We met two extraordinary people, Mirianne and Dominique, a wonderful couple, not to mention the manager and Émilie. Thank you very much.
I highly recommend Les Franquettes Campground.

We came here for the first time in July, and it was a lovely discovery! A family-friendly campground—quiet and shaded when it's hot, which is great—and the kind of warm welcome I love! Go check it out—you won't be disappointed ;-)

We had a wonderful week at this campground with my son! We loved our stay.

The managers are truly lovely, welcoming, and caring. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly—exactly what we were looking for.

My son had a blast at the playground and on the slides.
I appreciated how clean the bungalow was and the quality of the bedding—really top-notch!

A campground where you feel right at home and leave with wonderful memories.

I recommend it without hesitation, and we’ll be back with great pleasure!

Amazing 🏕 The setting is idyllic, and the staff—as well as the owner (who looks just like Julien Arruti, I should point out 😅)—are friendly. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the activities offered live up to their promises.
There are shops nearby—a gas station, a bank 🏦... and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE OCEAN is just 5–10 minutes away—a true surfer’s paradise 🏄‍♂️
I have no hesitation in recommending this campground, whether for families or young people.
