Just a few kilometers from the domain lies the village of Villandraut, where you will find a beautiful 6 km hiking trail. The route circles the imposing castle and leads you through the charming center and green surroundings. It is an ideal walk for families with children: not too long, little elevation change, and plenty to see and experience along the way. You literally walk through the history of the region.

Combine a visit to the lively Saturday morning market of Bazas with a relaxing walk around Lac de la Prade. This 8-kilometer route is just a 10-minute drive from Domaine EcÔtelia and is perfect for a peaceful afternoon with the whole family. You’ll walk a well-marked loop around the lake in about 2.5 hours, where you can spot plenty of birds along the way and enjoy wide views over the water and surrounding fields. Bring a picnic or rest on one of the benches along the path. This walk is ideal for discovering the local flora and fauna and truly unwinding in a peaceful, natural environment.

Just a 15-minute drive from Domaine EcÔtelia, you’ll find Parc de Loisirs à Bazas – a true paradise for families packed with action and fun. This adventure park offers climbing courses among the trees, zip lines, bouncy castles, mini golf, and a play area with water and sand. Children from 3 years old can already join in with age-appropriate activities, while older kids (and parents!) can push their limits on the higher courses. The park is beautifully situated in the forest, so you can find some cool shade even on a warm day. Perfect for an afternoon change of pace after a relaxing morning at the estate. Combine it with an ice cream in the center of Bazas and you’ve got a perfect day for the whole family.
