    Huttopia Arcachon is an incredibly beautiful place for a short camping vacation with the family. We had a mobile home right in the middle of the pine forest, which was relatively secluded. Because of this, we hardly noticed the other guests and were able to really enjoy the peace and quiet.

    Our accommodations were spacious, very … well-equipped, and we felt right at home immediately. The entire resort is really sprawling—the walk to the restaurant and pool is almost like a little stroll. At the same time, the location is great: you can quickly reach the Dune du Pilat by car, and Arcachon itself is within easy walking distance.

    We really enjoyed our stay, and I’d definitely recommend the campground for a three- to four-day trip.

    Still, I’m giving it “only” 4 out of 5 stars because it was missing that certain something for me. Especially for kids, a few extra amenities—like a small soccer field, a nicer play area, or a slide by the pool—would have made the place perfect for us.

    Das Huttopia Arcachon ist ein wahnsinnig schöner Ort für einen kurzen Campingurlaub mit der Familie. Wir hatten ein Mobile Home mitten im Pinienwald, das relativ freistehend lag. Dadurch haben wir von den anderen Gästen kaum etwas mitbekommen und konnten die Ruhe richtig genießen.

    Unsere Unterkunft war geräumig, sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die gesamte Anlage ist wirklich weitläufig – der Weg zum Restaurant und Pool ist fast schon ein kleiner Spaziergang. Gleichzeitig ist die Lage super: Mit dem Auto ist man schnell an der Dune du Pilat und auch Arcachon selbst ist zu Fuß gut erreichbar.

    Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und für drei bis vier Tage würde ich den Platz jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

    Trotzdem sind es für mich „nur“ 4 von 5 Sternen, weil mir noch dieses gewisse Etwas gefehlt hat. Gerade für Kinder hätten ein paar zusätzliche Angebote wie ein kleiner Fußballplatz, ein schönerer Spielbereich oder eine Rutsche am Pool den Platz für uns perfekt gemacht.

    A very good campground, well-located for exploring the city and the surrounding area. Nice bar, nice pool. You can order bread for breakfast right on site, and there’s a bike rental service on the grounds with good bikes. The staff is great!
    The restrooms are new and always very clean.
    But: as with so many campgrounds, you have to wonder if … the people in charge ever camp there themselves. There are no hooks in the restrooms and nowhere to hang your clothes or set down your belongings, even though there’s plenty of space. This makes every shower and every time you brush your teeth a challenge. Such a shame...

    Sehr guter Campingplatz, gut gelegen um die Stadt und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Schöne Bar, schöner Pool. Man kann direkt vor Ort Brot für das Frühstück bestellen und es gibt am Platz einen Fahrradverleih mit guten Fahrrädern. Personal ist super!
    Sanitäranlagen sind neu und immer sehr sauber.
    Aber: wie bei so vielen Campingplätzen fragt man sich, ob die Verantwortlichen jemals selbst dort campen? In den Sanitäranlagen gibt es keine Haken und keine Möglichkeiten seine Kleidung und Utensilien abzustellen, obwohl genügend Platz vorhanden wäre. Somit wird jedes Duschen und jedes Zähneputzen zur Herausforderung. Sehr schade...

    I agree with a previous reviewer: This campground is in a very beautiful, idyllic location. At least now, at the end of September, it’s wonderfully quiet here.
    However—mosquitoes seem to love me, and I can’t spend any time outside at any time of day without getting completely bitten unless I use mosquito repellent. Insect screens would be … absolutely necessary. Luckily, we brought a mosquito net for the bedroom, so at least we’re safe from the little vampires at night.

    Ich schließe mich einem Vor-Schreiber an: Sehr schön idyllisch gelegener Campingplatz. Zumindest jetzt Ende September ist es herrlich ruhig hier.
    Jedoch - ich werde von Mücken geliebt und kann mich ohne Mückenschutzmittel zu keiner Tageszeit draußen aufhalten ohne komplett zerstochen zu werden. Insektenschutzgitter wären absolut von Nöten. Zum Glück haben wir ein Moskitonetz für das Schlafzimmer mitgebracht, so dass wir wenigstens nachts Ruhe vor den kleinen Vampiren haben
