The campground is very well located, close to Arcachon, although getting there on foot or by bike is a bit of a workout (uphill and downhill). The restrooms are very clean, and the pool area is nice. The campsites aren’t very large (and there are quite a few mosquitoes).
The only slight downside is that the prices at the bar have gone up...
Otherwise, very good overall.

Our short stay at Camping Huttopia Arcachon was completely unplanned, as we were waiting to be able to access Cap Ferret for our summer holiday. Yet, we had a great experience. The location of the camping site is outstanding, it is in a pine forest, and still very close to the town centre. The lodging options are plenty, we opted for a wood cabin for 4. And if the cabins are small, they are well-designed and comfortable.
The service there is very friendly : most of the working force are young people with summer jobs, yet, professionnalisme enough. The only remark I would make for such a ressort is that windows should definitely have mosquito nets: in the Woods, insects are plenty, and we had a couple unwanted visitors :)

A really cozy Huttopia campground. There are always quite a few fellow Dutch people there, which is also nice. We really liked Arcachon—it’s such a charming little town—and there are so many different beach options: right in Arcachon you can dip your toes in the sea, or head to Cap Ferret, which is very idyllic (we stayed in Le Canon) and a great place to eat oysters. Prefer big waves? Then you can head to Biscarosse Plage, for example. Our kids really liked the campground’s pool because it has two levels, and of course they got to make lots of friends. Trappeurtent is always a fun place to stay. I do have one general tip, though: try to create some storage space—either in cabinets or on hangers—inside the tents. Right now, there isn’t enough, so you end up living out of your bag. Other than that, the breakfast service is excellent. We rented some really nice electric bikes. Delicious beers and pizzas. We’d love to come back!

A very beautiful location, with a beautifully designed terrace area and a swimming pool. Tents under pine trees with cicadas. Great rental bikes.

We just got back from a week at Chalet Victoria. The accommodations were very clean, and the campground was quiet and tastefully done! The bike rentals were great! The campground was very well-attended, a far cry from the sometimes “redneck” stereotype you see elsewhere. A few areas for improvement, though: the pizza was really not good—too thin, and the Emmental was too salty. It’s a shame because it’s the only dish offered. The pool is small (15 people and we’re all crammed together). Could the pool be expanded to the side toward the forest? Maybe there could be a few more free activities, such as morning workouts on some days.

What can I say about the campground other than that it’s nestled in lush greenery on the hills above Arcachon? A sense of peace and contentment reigns there, and it’s so easy to recharge your batteries because you feel so at ease!! The staff is incredibly friendly, the pizza is excellent, and we can’t wait to go back. Don’t change a thing!! Despite the wildfires that disrupted the season!! Huttopia is pulling through thanks to its staff and its ideal setting. Thank you
