A very well-maintained campground, well-located for sightseeing and well-equipped. The hospitality is impeccable. The activities are designed for the whole family, and the pools are suited so that everyone can enjoy them regardless of age, height, or activity level. The only downside is the somewhat noisy county road that runs alongside the campground; you have to get away from it to really enjoy the site.

Camping très bien entretenu , bien placé pour visiter et bien équipé. L’accueil est impeccable . Les animations sont pensées pour toute la famille , les piscines sont adaptées pour que chacun puisse en profiter selon son âge ,sa taille ou ses activités. Seul bémol, la route départementale quelque peu bruyante qui longe le camping, il faut s’en éloigner pour profiter du site.

We’ve stayed at Huttopia campgrounds in several places in France. Mainly because of the good restroom facilities and the natural layout (not in straight rows). All of this applies to this campground as well. The restrooms were kept very clean and were more than sufficient, even though the campground was already “full.” What we hadn’t encountered before was the homogeneity of the guests. Most of the sites were occupied by Dutch families with young children. That certainly sets a certain tone for the campground. The reason is probably the swimming pool. There are, in fact, few campsites on the island that offer one.
The pool was also well maintained. The boards around the pool are very slippery, though. We saw quite a few people slip and fall. The staff were generally friendly. The (pricey) bread service is of good quality.
The island is beautiful. The campground’s location relative to the harbor town of La Flotte is great. It’s a 10-minute bike ride away. And let’s not forget the beautiful historic city center of La Rochelle on the mainland.this is a translation, click here for the original
Wij zijn al op meerdere plekken in Frankrijk op Huttopia-campings geweest. Voornamelijk vanwege de goede sanitaire voorzieningen en de natuurlijke indeling (niet in rechte laantjes). Dit geldt ook allemaal weer voor deze camping. Sanitair wordt heel goed schoongehouden en was ruim voldoende, ondanks dat de camping al 'complet' was. Wat wij nog niet eerder aantroffen was de eentonigheid van de gasten. Het grootste deel van de plekken was bezet door hollandse gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Dat drukt toch een bepaald stempel op de camping. De reden zal wss. het zwembad zijn. Er zijn nml. weinig campings op het eiland die dat aanbieden.
Ook het zwembad werd keurig bijgehouden. Planken rondom het zwembad zijn wel heel glad. We hebben heel wat mensen een glijden zien maken. Personeel overall vriendelijk. (Prijzige) broodservice van goede kwaliteit.
Eiland is prachtig. Ligging van camping t o.v. havenplaatsje La Flotte is super. In 10 min op de fiets te bereiken. En niet te vergeten de prachtige historische binnenstad van La Rochelle op het vasteland. -

A beautiful Huttopia-style campground. The layout is perfect for letting kids run wild: apart from cars driving slowly, there’s no danger. Three swimming pools, ranging from a wading pool to a large one perfect for soaking up the sun. Most of the tent and RV sites are nicely shaded under the trees. Bikes are available for rent at a reasonable price, and the island is perfect for cycling.

Prachtige camping in Huttopia stijl. Opzet is perfect om kinderen helemaal hun gang te laten gaan: op langzaam rijdende autos na geen gevaar. Drie zwembaden van pierenbadje tot groot lekker in de zon. Terwijl de meeste tent en camperplaatsen lekker onder de bomen staan. Fietsen voordelig te huur en eiland leent zich daar perfect voor.
