Where to start? First of all, I wouldn’t recommend this campground for several reasons:
- The pool has scorching hot tiles; the large pool is bowl-shaped, so it’s 1.30 m deep for the first 30 centimeters before dropping steeply to 2.50 m—making it unsuitable for children.
- Only 4 restroom facilities for a large number of campers, so they’re often unavailable, unclean, and sometimes clogged.
- Apparently, there’s no traffic between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, but since they don’t close the gate, some people drive through the campground at midnight and as early as 6:00 AM.
- A lot of noise pollution: campers partying in the middle of the night, staff moving around as early as 6 a.m., and campers blasting music in the restrooms.
- No activities offered, so I didn’t feel the campground vibe.
- The entire campground is on a slope, so bring your hiking shoes and leave the stroller behind if you have kids.
- Very expensive (for a campsite) for what it is…
On the plus side?? Not too far from the center of Sarlat (a 15-minute walk), but again, everything is on a slope, so be sure to wear good shoes.
So I won’t be coming back.this is a translation, click here for the original
