Go on an adventure in the Réserve Africaine de Sigean
From Camping Seasonova Barberousse, it takes you about 30 to 40 minutes to drive to the Réserve Africaine de Sigean, one of the largest wildlife parks in Europe. Around 3,800 animals live here on nearly 300 hectares, right in the heart of the lagoon landscape of the Aude coast. You drive through the reserve by car and come face to face with rhinos, lions, and hippos, without fences but from the safety of your own vehicle. After that, you continue your visit on foot along different zones with birds, reptiles, and smaller animals. Half a day is often not enough to discover everything, making it an impressive and varied day trip from the campsite.

Discover the lagoons around Gruissan
From Camping Seasonova Barberousse, the Mediterranean landscape of Gruissan is right at your fingertips. Along the coast and the surrounding étangs, you will discover a unique area where water and wind set the rhythm together. Here you can swim, hike and enjoy various water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and sailing. The open lagoons around Gruissan and Narbonne attract both sports enthusiasts and nature lovers with their vast water surfaces and constant wind. From the campsite, you are quickly in the heart of this lively coastal region where nature, activity, and Mediterranean atmosphere come together.
Experience how local olive oil is made
At the Coopérative du Moulin Oléicole l’Oulibo in Bize-Minervois, you’ll discover how olive oil is pressed from regional varieties such as Lucques and Picholine. During your visit, you can see how the pressing process works in the mill and taste different oils side by side to compare the flavors. The shop also offers tapenade, salted olives, and other local products. This gives you an accessible introduction to the olive culture of the Minervois, and you’ll often leave with a well-filled bag.
Visit historic Narbonne
From Camping Seasonova Barberousse, you can drive to Narbonne in a short time, a city with a historic center, canals, and lively markets. Stroll along atmospheric streets, discover the covered market hall, and enjoy the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere along the Canal de la Robine. Visit Narbonne and experience the city's Mediterranean ambiance at your own pace.

Summary created out of 128 reviews
The campsite is within walking distance of the centre of Gruissan, making shops and restaurants easily accessible. The reception staff are regularly described as friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean, although guests note that they are outdated and the shower temperature cannot be adjusted – which is particularly unpleasant in warm weather. The campsite has limited shade on the pitches and few facilities such as animation or a swimming pool, making it best suited for those seeking peace and planning their own activities in the surrounding area.

I stayed for a week from July 26 to August 2. I don't recommend this campground—there are too many mosquitoes, the bar is closed, the kids' water play area is closed, the inflatable castle is unusable, and there's absolutely nothing going on. It's completely dead—no entertainment or anything.
When you arrive at the campground, there are even cobwebs, and then when you’re leaving, a very shameless man comes by and even picks up a single hair—as if to make you think they’re doing a thorough cleaning. The man was very unpleasant.I’ve been to many campsites, but none as terrible as this one. I definitely don’t recommend it—I certainly won’t be going back. My son ended up with a respiratory infection and a virus because of their poor hygiene. If I could give them a 0, I would.this is a translation, click here for the original

We booked our stay from July 31 to August 15. It was an extremely disappointing experience that we absolutely do not recommend.
The low points of our stay:
- Lack of honesty upon arrival: We were required to pay for the entire stay in advance, only to be told—once the money had been collected—that the children’s water play area was out of service and the restaurant was closed. Yet these were key amenities that had led us to choose this campground in the first place.
- Disastrous hygiene: The restrooms (showers and toilets) are very dirty, full of sand and hair. Despite their claims that everything is cleaned regularly, a used tampon remained in the restroom and was never removed after our arrival.
- Comfort issues: Even though it’s over 30 °C outside, the shower water is scalding hot. We asked the front desk to lower the temperature, but they claim there’s nothing they can do.
Paying top dollar for closed facilities and such poor hygiene is unacceptable. Stay away!this is a translation, click here for the original
Fuyez ! -

Avoid at all costs—No consideration for disabilities or respect for guests
I do not recommend Camping Barbe Rousse at all. If you’re looking for peace and quiet or an accessible environment, you might as well stay home.
The site is absolutely not accessible to people with disabilities (a very difficult experience for my oldest son, who uses a wheelchair). Worse still, when we asked at the front desk where we could take him for a walk in the area, the staff was unable to answer us. The staff is completely unresponsive and utterly indifferent to guests’ needs.
To top it all off: the accommodations were dirty upon our arrival, the bathrooms (showers and toilets) were very poorly maintained, and there was constant noise at night despite the presence of a security guard who serves no purpose.
I don’t understand how this facility can still be open to the public. Avoid it at all costs, whether you’re a person with a disability or any vacationer looking for some rest.this is a translation, click here for the original

I’m leaving a negative review for this campground.
Just four days before my departure, I was informed that my dog was allowed, but that he couldn’t be left alone in the mobile home—not even while I went grocery shopping.
This information should have been made clear at the time of booking.
As a single mom with two young children, this put me in a difficult situation, and I ultimately had to arrange for someone to look after my dog for the entire duration of my stay, which resulted in additional costs and a lot of planning.
I chose this campground mainly for its water play area, which I found more suitable and safer than a pool with young children.
Unfortunately, it was under maintenance, and this wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking.
No compensation!
The campground is also poorly located: you have to drive to get to the beach or do most activities.
The mobile home is poorly laid out, with very little storage space for belongings.
The patio is in direct sunlight for most of the morning, and we were overrun by ants inside the mobile home—I hope you don’t drink your coffee with sugar, or else you’ll have an invasion.
There are no activities, which is very disappointing for a Camping Paradis.
There’s also no on-site restaurant.
Other downsides: the gate closes at 11 p.m., which is pretty restrictive when you’re on vacation.
And the end-of-stay cleaning is checked very strictly—I didn’t have any issues, but some neighbors did.
On the other hand, I’ve always loved Gruissan and its surroundings, ever since I was a child.
The town is beautiful, but I won’t be returning to this campground and I don’t recommend it.this is a translation, click here for the original
