Summary created out of 120 reviews

The campsite is within walking distance of the centre of Gruissan, making shops and restaurants easily accessible. The reception staff are regularly described as friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean, although guests note that they are outdated and the shower temperature cannot be adjusted – which is particularly unpleasant in warm weather. The campsite has limited shade on the pitches and few facilities such as animation or a swimming pool, making it best suited for those seeking peace and planning their own activities in the surrounding area.

Hello, the description when I made my reservation mentioned a water play area for children, a restaurant/bar, and a convenience store, but everything was closed—apparently due to a change in ownership and upcoming renovations. So why wasn’t this mentioned on the website, which still hasn’t been updated? . This is unfair and misleading—it’s a shame, because the campground is in a great location, right next to the village, in a quiet area, but it’s really too dreary and unwelcoming due to the lack of these amenities.
The new owner has certainly lined his pockets; I hope he’ll turn things around for next season
On the bright side, the staff at the front desk were very friendly despite the complaints from vacationers

Definitely avoid this place before you even step inside…
I booked one night through their service provider and paid €32. I canceled one day before my stay, but I didn’t get a refund because you have to cancel within 24 hours of booking…In any case, I’d booked way in advance—even 10 days ahead—and they still didn’t give me a refund.
So the bottom line is, you make sure to book, you have a major issue, you cancel, but no matter what, you don’t get a refund….
It’s just a terrible way to operate… I won’t be coming back anytime soon… and don’t forget to thank me!

After seeing the reviews of the last few months, we were a bit skeptical. We only stopped over for one night, and although the restaurant and water activities were closed, this did not bother us, as the town Gruissan has lots of restaurants and was very nice to explore. Bathrooms were very clean and the pitches are large. Probably we won't stay for a summer holiday, but it was great value for money for an overnight stop. The staff was very friendly and helpful to accommodate us.

Well, I have quite a few things to say.
I came here last year, and we had a good tent spot, so overall it was fine. This year is completely different. The campground was bought out and has gone from “Camping Paradis” to “Seasonova,” and they’ve even revamped the website, keeping only what suits them to attract more visitors. Because Seasonova promotes “slow life,” a return to nature, and so on, yet on the website they still advertise a hot tub/spa, kids’ play areas, activities, and dining options. But on-site, none of that exists: the campsites are completely neglected, the trees are stunted, there’s absolutely no shade, no restaurant, no hot tub, no spa, no playground—NOTHING. Just sweltering heat with nowhere to hide from it—people didn’t stay more than three days… And I’d like to add that this isn’t a 3-star campground; according to Atout France, they’re allowed to keep that rating for five years. So it’s still misleading. They’ve taken everything positive from the previous campground to attract people, but there’s nothing left on-site. It’s almost post-apocalyptic. On top of that, the prices aren’t going down—I paid €208 for a site for one week, and I only had a tent, no car. Not to mention the scalding hot showers and the very old showers that are never really clean. (And let’s not even talk about the restrooms.) I won’t be coming back—my vacation was great, but the campground ruined everything. It was unbearable to stay there.
    I do not recommend it.

    Campground to avoid!!!!!!

We booked a month in advance. They called us a week before we were set to leave to tell us that the restaurant was closed, the kids’ water play area was shut down, and that we’d have to bring our own sheets and duvet covers—which is really not normal for a campground. We were annoyed, but since we’d already booked everything, we decided to go anyway.

When we arrived, everything was closed. The woman on site told us that the hot tub had been closed for two years, but the website still listed it as open—it’s really ridiculous, a total lack of communication.

The mobile home was very small and overrun with ants; the dishes needed washing (they were really dirty), and the mattresses were scratchy.

If you plan to eat outside on the patio in the evening, forget it—the mosquitoes swarm the campground. I stayed outside for 10 minutes (and got over 30 mosquito bites).

I really don’t recommend this campground. If you can book somewhere else, do it—for the sake of your vacation. (We complained, but the woman at the front desk who works there told us that the management had changed and that there was nothing she could do.)

    camping a éviter !!!!!!

We've been on vacation here several times, but this is the last time—the price is way too high at 28.90 euros, and you can't even turn on the AC. There are only 6 parking spots for RVs, and it's dusty.
