Cancellation terms
Cancellation Policy
Cancel
It may happen that you have to cancel your vacation due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, you must notify Greencamp in writing (by e-mail). We would like to point out that a cancellation often involves costs.
1 Cancellations by the tenant Standard cancellation charges apply to all bookings:
up to the 120th day before the day of arrival - the deposit (up to a maximum of 30% of the travel sum) from the 120th day to the 60th day before the day of arrival - 75% of the travel sum. from the 60th day before arrival to the day of arrival - 100% of the total travel sum. For all cancellations, in addition to the above percentage of the travel sum, you also pay the reservation fee. Furthermore, the following conditions apply to cancellations:
Cancellations sent on non-working days will be deemed received by the Greencamp on the next business day. Cancellations sent outside business hours on weekdays will be deemed received by Greencamp on the next business day. If, on further consideration, you wish to take a shorter vacation than you had booked, this is a partial cancellation. Greencamp reserves the right to sell accommodations efficiently, so it may not always be possible to cancel a number of nights of a reservation. When Greencamp does accept a partial cancellation, our standard cancellation fees apply to the cancelled nights or extras.
2 Cancellation by Greencamp If Greencamp is unexpectedly unable to offer the reserved accommodation, the renter/principal booker will be notified (by phone or in writing) with reasons. In this case Greencamp will offer equivalent accommodation at the same travel price. Greencamp will judge the equivalence or superiority of the alternative accommodation on the basis of the location, the accommodation and possibly the facilities at the camp site in question. If Greencamp has no suitable alternative/offer or the tenant does not wish to make use of it, Greencamp will refund the travel sum already paid in full or in part within 1 week of the cancellation date.
2.1 Force majeure and unforeseen circumstances Force majeure - without being exhaustive - is in any case understood to mean: all external causes, beyond the will or control of Greencamp, as a result of which timely, complete or correct compliance with the agreement is no longer possible. The force majeure referred to in this article includes, but is not limited to, the consequences of epidemics and pandemics that can be dangerous for humans and/or animals (for example Corona, BSE, swine fever and FMD) , the declaration of a state of emergency in the area in which the camp site is located (for example due to flooding, forest fire) or travel restriction measures by (local) authorities forcing the tenant to leave the tent/accommodation. Unforeseen circumstances are understood to mean, among other things, that the campsite and/or accommodation is in such a state that it is no longer suitable for rental (e.g. due to flooding, forest fire, failure of facilities such as electricity or water or due to pest infestation) or that the reservation must be cancelled due to (sudden) early closure, sale or bankruptcy of the campsite.
2.2 Limitation of liability Greencamp and tenant In case of force majeure and/or unforeseen circumstances, Greencamp cannot be held liable for services booked by yourself (for example: airline tickets, car rental, boat transfer, bus trips, etc.). In the event of force majeure and/or unforeseen circumstances, Greencamp is not obliged to refund the travel sum received by it to the main booker/renter. In the event of force majeure and/or unforeseen circumstances, the renter no longer has to pay the balance of the cancelled reservation.
2.3 Alternative campsite and/or accommodation In the event of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, Greencamp will offer you alternative, equivalent accommodation for the same duration. This equivalence or superiority of the alternative accommodation will be assessed by Greencamp on the basis of the location, accommodation and possibly the facilities at the campsite in question. If the new accommodation is cheaper, Greencamp will refund the difference to you. If the accommodation is more expensive, you will pay the additional cost. If you accept Greencamp's offer then Greencamp will make a new reservation for you. The travel sum already received will be deducted from the travel sum of the new reservation. You will receive a payment request for the remaining amount 10 weeks before departure. If you do not accept Greencamp's offer, Greencamp will provide you with a voucher worth the travel sum you have already paid. You can use the voucher to book a new vacation with Greencamp which must take place within 2 years of the cancellation date. When booking a new accommodation and/or campsite, Greencamp's general terms and conditions always apply.

Camping La Prade is set in a beautiful green valley along the Viaur river, where guests enjoy spacious, shaded pitches and abundant tranquility in nature. Owners Isabelle and Régis are frequently praised for their warm welcome, kindness and willingness to help guests, contributing to the family-friendly atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are modern and always spotlessly clean, the pool offers a refreshing escape and the restaurant serves delicious pizzas and local dishes. Some guests found the prices somewhat high and not all experiences with communication or service went smoothly.

On paper, this campground has everything going for it, but unfortunately it’s run by people with no background in tourism. The sites are indeed large and shaded, and there’s a small river running alongside where you can dip your feet. The restrooms are functional and clean, even though the outdoor lights stop working after 9 p.m. However, it’s very hard to feel comfortable there. In fact, when the campground staff—and especially the manager—sneeringly threaten to kick you out if the rules aren’t followed. Having a dog on a campground is perfectly normal, but there should be designated areas for them, and above all, the campground shouldn’t claim ownership of the riverbank for several hundred meters beyond the campground’s boundaries. Regarding the restaurant
, the prices displayed on the menu aren’t always what you’re charged—be careful about what you’re paying for when ordering. As for the river, the area across from the mill should be off-limits because the three remaining walls are at risk of collapsing. The price for using the washing machines is exorbitant (€7 regardless of the load weight, whether it’s 5 or 12 kg),don’t expect to have any peace and quiet while unpacking your dirty underwear, because the staff is always glued to you—and definitely don’t count on them explaining how the machines work, since they have no idea themselves. As for the manager, he doesn’t hesitate to walk 200 meters just to tell two people—one of whom is a mom—that they can’t use a small ball in the pool. Also, be very precise about your departure time from the campground, because the manager parks his cart on your spot two minutes after the scheduled time—on top of driving pointlessly around the entire campground every two hours in his golf cart to check on who knows what. As for the price of the stay and the services offered, it’s more expensive than on the French Riviera during peak season… paying €60 a night for six people in the middle of nowhere with just a small pool is exorbitant… And don’t even get me started on the electricity at €12 or €13 a night… it’s completely unbelievable. I speak from experience because I travel three months a year in a camper van and have also been a professional in the French camping industry for 10 years.this is a translation, click here for the original

A camping paradise, where a spirit of camaraderie reigns; the setting created by Mother Nature and enhanced by the staff is unquestionably beautiful; the comfort and cleanliness of the trailer are impeccable; the friendliness, helpfulness of Isabelle and Régis exceed all expectations. There’s a superb pool, a river, and charming little nooks nestled right in the midst of the local flora and fauna.
I postponed my departure twice before finally leaving this idyllic spot, with an irresistible urge to return.this is a translation, click here for the original

J'ai repoussé deux fois mon départ avant de quitter cet endroit idyllique avec une irrépressible envie d'y revenir.
