We had dinner at the campground restaurant. The pizza was overcooked; despite the crowds and a fairly long wait for our food, the waitresses were overwhelmed but extremely friendly. Given the number of campers, the pool is too small, unsupervised, and has a limited number of lounge chairs. The website makes the campground sound better than it actually is.

A campsite in transition. There looks to have and is a major overhaul of this site. It's reasonably easy access although the local road is not very well maintained. Do NOT miss the turning and go into the village which has very narrow streets.
The staff and management are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a bar, restaurant (not used) and a small swimming pool with plenty of chairs/loungers and some shade, umbrellas.
The pitches themselves are somewhat neglected and many without shade. We were unfortunate to pick a pitch with a large mulberry tree above us. We won't be doing that again in a hurry.
The showers were excellent with hot and cold controls.
My biggest complaint would be for the second year in a row we have been descended on by a group of school children for 4 nights. Shouting, screaming seemingly out of control kids is not why I go caravanning. Playing football outside of caravan pitches was always going to be trouble.
I assume the management find renting these pitches profitable, however, the showers were left in a filthy state and I'm sure others will be put off.

Stay from July 5 to 12, 2026, for six people. We booked a premium suite with a RIVER view. Upon arrival, we were in for a nasty surprise: the suite wasn’t finished. We would have appreciated being notified in advance to spare the children the frustration… We were accommodated in a nice, clean, and functional bungalow. If you like peace and quiet, I wouldn’t recommend the bungalows near the pool and restaurant, since you’ll be right in the middle of the nightlife.
We were able to enjoy our lodge starting on the third day—it was very nice and functional. Be careful, though, about safety for young children (the wooden floor is sometimes damaged, with many splinters). The loft bed isn’t suitable for young children or tall adults. The ladder isn’t very practical… but the riverfront location is simply exceptional and incredibly pleasant. You might want to consider putting up a fence to keep people from walking in front of the cabins. The staff is very friendly, responsive, and competent.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and prompt service.
