What you should know about the park

Domaine Papillon is located in the heart of the Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy, just a stone's throw from medieval Figeac. Among the trees you'll find a heated swimming pool measuring 6 by 15 meters, kept at 26 degrees, with a solarium and loungers next to it. From May to September you can take a dip in the water; afterwards, stop by the snack bar terrace for a bite and a drink. Children spend their day between the mini club, trampoline, ping-pong table, and the mini farm with sheep, dwarf goats, and chickens, all patiently waiting to be petted. Those who prefer a quieter pace can join in at the games room or pick out a book from the library. Outside, there is a pétanque court and a basketball hoop. On Friday evening the campfire is lit at 9:00 pm for stories under the Quercy starry sky. From the campsite you can drive to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour, the Gouffre de Padirac, and the Célé valley.

Guests particularly praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who provide a warm, personal welcome. The peaceful location surrounded by nature, with spacious and shaded pitches under the trees, is highly appreciated. The heated swimming pool is a favourite for young and old alike, and the restaurant serves tasty local dishes at reasonable prices. Some guests did notice odour issues near the drainage and found the sanitary facilities sometimes too far from the pitches.

    The staff was super friendly, the pool was great—I recommend it 100%. We spent almost a week there with our dog, who was pampered like a queen. The owners were always attentive and very kind. We’ll definitely be back.

    I was initially only staying one night, but, I stayed two. If your looking for a party place this is not for you. Quiet, rural camping, with a great pool, and friendly hosts. I had a very enjoyable time, clean toilets and showers plenty of hot water.
