Château de Talmont‑Saint‑Hilaire

This medieval castle is impressively well preserved, with towers overlooking the ocean and surrounding villages. It combines architecture, history, and views – perfect for families, history buffs, and photography enthusiasts. Marais Poitevin – Green Venice

This watery nature reserve is beautiful and tranquil: boat trips with canoe or boat through peaceful canals, green reedlands, and birds such as herons. O’Gliss & O'Fun Park

O'Gliss Park is a large water amusement park with more than 25 slides, a wave pool, and a special children's zone (Ludo Park). A full day of water fun guaranteed: fast slides for teenagers, bubble zones for little ones, and relaxation zones for parents. Popular in summer, so it's best to book tickets in advance. Perfect for families looking for a day full of action and cooling off. This is located about 15 km from the campsite.

For those who prefer to stay dry, O'Fun Park is the ideal day out. This recreation park combines activities such as go-karting, ziplining, paintball, tree climbing, and mini golf. Lots of variety, so it's ideal for teenagers and families with children who love adventure. Somewhat quieter than O’Gliss, but just as much fun. It's also easy to do group activities there. This park is located about 20 km from the campsite.

Écomusée Le Daviaud

30 kilometers from the campsite, there is an open-air museum of 75 ha that showcases local life in the Marais vendéen. You will learn about the marshland economy, archaic techniques, fauna, and flora through seven thematic zones. From April to September there are craft demonstrations and interactive explanations. Great for families, culture lovers, and nature enthusiasts who want to learn more about this unique landscape.

    We are very disappointed with the quality of the site. There was dog poop there when we arrived.
    The ground was very bumpy, and our neighbors were forced to plug into our outlet because they couldn’t find theirs, and no one had come to show them where it was despite their request upon arrival three days earlier.
    We find the nightly rate excessive given the poor quality.

    Nous sommes très déçues de la qualité de l’emplacement. Il y avait une crotte de chien lorsque nous sommes arrivées.
    Le terrain était très cabossé et les voisins étaient contraints de se brancher sur notre prise de courant étant donné qu’ils n’avaient pas trouvé la leur et que personne n’était venue leur montrer malgré leur demande en arrivant, 3 jours auparavant.
    Nous trouvons le prix de la nuit excessif au vu de la mauvaise qualité.

    It was a huge disappointment to see that this campground has been left to fall into disrepair. The manager, though eager, seems at a loss and powerless in the face of the numerous acts of incivility. And yes, the clientele is working-class and completely lacking in manners. It was a bad idea to place mobile homes right across from the playground, where young people hang out in the evening until 1 a.m. or even later, shouting or playing loud music. The security guard seems to have a paper job, since he’s never seen on the grounds. The broken security gate allows cars to come and go freely all night long, even though this was explicitly prohibited at the welcome reception after 11 p.m.!!! Some guests talk loudly—or even very loudly—all night long with no regard for others. In short, there are no rules for getting along with others at this campground...

    Grande déception de constater que ce camping est laissé à l'abandon. Le directeur bien que volontaire semble démuni et impuissant face aux nombreuses incivilités. Et oui une clientèle populaire sans aucune éducation. La fausse bonne idée de positionner des mobil-home face à l'aire de jeux, où des jeunes trainent le soir jusqu'à 1h du matin voire plus en criant ou en mettant de la musique. L'agent de sécurité semble occuper un emploi fictif puisqu'on ne le voit jamais sur le terrain. La barrière de sécurité en panne permet la libre circulation des voitures toute la nuit alors que celle-ci a été déclarée interdite au pot d'accueil après 23h!!! Certains clients parlent fort voire très fort toute la nuit sans aucun respect des autres. Bref aucune règles de vivre ensemble n'existe dans ce camping...
