Park 518 is beautifully situated on a hill above the Loire with spectacular views over the valley. Guests praise the friendly and helpful staff, the spacious camping pitches with plenty of privacy from trees and hedges, and the good facilities such as the swimming pool and excellent pizzas. A nice, quiet campground with 3 beautiful pools for different age groups, a small bar, and plenty of parking, including 2 charging stations. Great amenities.
The staff is excellent and friendly. 5 stars.
Our only comment—and the reason for our 3-star rating: We had a tent with a shower, toilet, and kitchenette (tent 52). Our daughter burned herself on the faucet. The hot side of the shower faucet gets so hot during a normal shower that she suffered a severe burn during our two-week vacation. As a 45-year-old, I also burned myself but noticed it sooner, so it didn’t cause any lasting discomfort. The shower stall is very rickety and wobbles in all directions when we sit on the toilet or stand in the shower. It creaks so loudly that going to the bathroom at night wakes up others. Closing the door helps—it makes it more stable. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay and a wonderful spot to relax.this is a translation, click here for the original
Leuke rustige camping met 3 mooie zwembaden voor verschillende leeftijden, een barretje en genoeg parkeerplek, inclusief 2 oplaadplekken. Fijne voorzieningen.
Het personeel is erg goed en vriendelijk. 5 sterren.
Ons enige commentaar, en vandaar onze 3 sterren: Wij hadden een tent met douche, wc en keukentje (tent 52). Onze dochter heeft zich aan de kraan gebrand. De warme kant van de douchekraan wordt tijdens normaal douchen zo heet dat ze een grote brandwond heeft tijdens onze 2 weekse vakantie. Ik als 45 jarige heb me ook gebrand maar merkte het eerder dus geen blijvende last. De douchecabine is heel gammel en beweegt alle kanten op als we op de wc gaan zitten of onder de douche gaan staan. Het kraakt dan ook zo hard dat snachts naar de wc gaan anderen wakker maakt. Het helpt om de deur dicht te doen, dan is het stabieler. Verder prima goede tent en heerlijk vertoeven. -

A classic tent stay—I loved it with my 8-year-old son. The space was thoughtfully designed to allow air to circulate efficiently thanks to the openings fitted with mosquito nets.

A really lovely Huttopia campground, beautifully situated and with super-spacious sites. Our site was wonderfully shaded and offered plenty of privacy. We personally think that’s a huge plus!
The campground itself is very cozy and beautifully laid out. However, there’s only one restroom building for the entire campground, and we didn’t always find it very clean. The showers also have poor water pressure—barely a trickle comes out. In our opinion, the bar and some of the communal facilities could also use a little extra sprucing up here and there.
But the atmosphere, the space, and the location more than make up for it for us. We really enjoy coming here!
There’s also an incredible amount to do and discover in the surrounding area. Saumur and the surrounding area are perfect for day trips, bike rides, and hikes.
In short: a campground we’d happily visit again. The large, private sites, the beautiful setting, and the cozy atmosphere are especially standout features here! Een heel mooie Huttopia-camping, prachtig gelegen en met superruime plaatsen. Onze plaats was heerlijk schaduwrijk en bood echt veel privacy. Dat vinden wij persoonlijk een enorme plus!
De camping zelf is heel gezellig en mooi aangelegd. Er is wel maar één sanitairgebouw voor de hele camping, en dat vonden we niet altijd even proper. Ook de douches hebben slechte waterdruk. Amper een straaltje dat er uit komt. Ook de bar en enkele gemeenschappelijke voorzieningen zouden naar onze mening hier en daar wel wat extra opsmuk kunnen gebruiken.
Maar de sfeer, de ruimte en de ligging maken voor ons heel veel goed. We komen hier best graag!
Ook in de omgeving is er ontzettend veel te doen en te ontdekken. Saumur en de streek errond lenen zich perfect voor uitstapjes, fietstochten en wandelingen.
Kortom: een camping waar we met plezier opnieuw zouden komen. Vooral de grote, private plaatsen, de mooie ligging en de gezellige sfeer zijn hier echte toppers! We hopen dat de camping zelf wat dingen opnieuw aanpakt en een beter sanitair zou een enorme vooruitgang zijn. -

A well-maintained campground. The manager serves you breakfast, does the housekeeping, cleans the restrooms, and then comes back to make you delicious pizzas! You can really tell he’s dedicated! The staff is top-notch; the accommodations are a bit worn and there are some potholes, but otherwise it’s a beautiful campground!
