Tent Classic 4 - 4 persons

A nice, quiet campground with 3 beautiful pools for different age groups, a small bar, and plenty of parking, including 2 charging stations. Great amenities.

The staff is excellent and friendly. 5 stars.

Our only comment—and the reason for our 3-star rating: We had a tent with a shower, toilet, and kitchenette (tent 52). Our daughter burned herself on the faucet. The hot side of the shower faucet gets so hot during a normal shower that she suffered a severe burn during our two-week vacation. As a 45-year-old, I also burned myself but noticed it sooner, so it didn’t cause any lasting discomfort. The shower stall is very rickety and wobbles in all directions when we sit on the toilet or stand in the shower. It creaks so loudly that going to the bathroom at night wakes up others. Closing the door helps—it makes it more stable. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay and a wonderful spot to relax.

A classic tent stay—I loved it with my 8-year-old son. The space was thoughtfully designed to allow air to circulate efficiently thanks to the openings fitted with mosquito nets.
The stay was extraordinary:

A community hub offering homemade pizza, local drinks, and a great selection of ice cream. The aperitif, pizza, and afternoon snack all passed the taste test! 😀

A really lovely Huttopia campground, beautifully situated and with super-spacious sites. Our site was wonderfully shaded and offered plenty of privacy. We personally think that’s a huge plus!

The campground itself is very cozy and beautifully laid out. However, there’s only one restroom building for the entire campground, and we didn’t always find it very clean. The showers also have poor water pressure—barely a trickle comes out. In our opinion, the bar and some of the communal facilities could also use a little extra sprucing up here and there.

But the atmosphere, the space, and the location more than make up for it for us. We really enjoy coming here!

There’s also an incredible amount to do and discover in the surrounding area. Saumur and the surrounding area are perfect for day trips, bike rides, and hikes.

In short: a campground we’d happily visit again. The large, private sites, the beautiful setting, and the cozy atmosphere are especially standout features here! We hope the campground itself will make some improvements—better restroom facilities would be a huge step forward.

A well-maintained campground. The manager serves you breakfast, does the housekeeping, cleans the restrooms, and then comes back to make you delicious pizzas! You can really tell he’s dedicated! The staff is top-notch; the accommodations are a bit worn and there are some potholes, but otherwise it’s a beautiful campground!
