The Luberon Regional Nature Park

The Luberon Regional Nature Park is an exceptional area that carefully preserves its authenticity and offers a unique perspective on Provence. Just 20 minutes from the campsite, this park unveils a world of sublime panoramas and rich cultural heritage. Since 1998, the park has been part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the Global Geoparks Network, covering 155,000 hectares and spanning two departments with 77 municipalities. Hiking trails, sporting activities such as canoeing, climbing, and golf, as well as relaxing experiences like balloon flights, offer both active and contemplative visitors an unforgettable experience in this protected French landscape.

Fort de Buoux, Vallon de l’Aiguebrun & lavender

The Vallon de l’Aiguebrun is a small haven of wild, authentic nature where time seems to stand still. Take a walk along the river and navigate, with the family, along sometimes “risky” paths between imposing cliffs. Discover the remains of Fort de Buoux, which towers high above the valley. The open-air visit takes you straight back to the past and the view from the fort is among the wildest and most beautiful of the Luberon.

When in Provence... you of course cannot skip the lavender fields! Between late June and late July, the landscape transforms into a sea of purple lavender fields. Admire the fields at Plateau des Claparèdes, Plateau d’Albion or Plateau de Valensole and learn all about lavender at the Lavender Museum in Coustellet. Combine it with a visit to the Les Agnels distillery in Apt and experience the scent, color and local traditions up close.

This campsite in the Luberon is characterised by warm and attentive staff who welcome guests well and assist during their stay. The location is ideal for discovering the beautiful villages of the region, just 5 minutes from Apt and the charming village of Saignon. Guests appreciate the quiet, shaded environment under old oak trees, the well-maintained pools and the clean sanitary facilities. The animations are experienced as fun and energetic, and the swimming pool is popular with families.

    A very nice campground, located just outside of Apt (a 7-minute downhill bike ride, about a 15-minute uphill ride back). Otherwise, the campground comes highly recommended: a beautiful, well-maintained pool; very friendly staff at the front desk; the entire campground is nicely shaded; the restroom facilities are a bit dated but always clean. We’d love to come back!

    Sehr schöner Campingplatz, etwas außerhalb von Apt gelegen (7 Min. bergab mit dem Rad, etwa 15 Min. bergauf zurück). Ansonsten ist der Camping sehr zu empfehlen: schöner gepflegter Pool, sehr nette Rezeption, der ganze Camping schön schattig, das Sanitärgebäude etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber stets sauber. Wir kommen gern wieder!

    A friendly welcome, large, shaded campsites, a very nice and clean pool, and the beautiful location above Apt are the campground’s strengths.

    Nevertheless, we consider the campground to be overrated given its outdated restroom facilities.
    Although the facilities were cleaned quite thoroughly every day, they were difficult to keep … clean—even in the off-season—and quickly returned to a mediocre state.

    The quality of the food at the restaurant was only satisfactory.

    Freundliche Anmeldung, große schattige Stellplätze, sehr schöner und sauberer Pool sowie die schöne Lage oberhalb von Apt sind die positiven Seiten des CPs.

    Trotzdem halten wir den CP angesichts der veralteten Sanitäranlagen für überbewertet.
    Zwar wurden die Anlagen täglich recht ordentlich gereinigt, doch trotz Nachsaison ließen sie sich schwer sauber halten und waren recht schnell wieder in einem mässigen Zustand.

    Das Qualität des Essens in der Gastronomie war nur befriedigend.

    Beautiful. Perfect. Nothing negative to say at all. Lovely situation. Plenty of shady, large pitches. Central location for visiting the Luberon. Lovely friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Great pool area. Quiet. Perfect.

    The staff is welcoming. The restrooms are clean and the pool is nice.

    However, the tent sites are overpriced—€24 in the off-season for poorly marked spaces with no privacy is excessive, especially since the ground is gravel, which isn’t the most comfortable for camping in a tent.

    Le personnel est accueillant. Les sanitaires sont propres et la piscine agréable.

    Par contre l'emplacement tente est hors de prix, 24€ en hors saison pour des espaces mal délimités et sans intimité c'est abusé, d'autant plus que c'est du gravié donc en tente ce n'est pas ce qu'il y a de plus agréable.
