The Luberon Regional Nature Park

The Luberon Regional Nature Park is an exceptional area that carefully preserves its authenticity and offers a unique perspective on Provence. Just 20 minutes from the campsite, this park unveils a world of sublime panoramas and rich cultural heritage. Since 1998, the park has been part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the Global Geoparks Network, covering 155,000 hectares and spanning two departments with 77 municipalities. Hiking trails, sporting activities such as canoeing, climbing, and golf, as well as relaxing experiences like balloon flights, offer both active and contemplative visitors an unforgettable experience in this protected French landscape.

Fort de Buoux, Vallon de l’Aiguebrun & lavender

The Vallon de l’Aiguebrun is a small haven of wild, authentic nature where time seems to stand still. Take a walk along the river and navigate, with the family, along sometimes “risky” paths between imposing cliffs. Discover the remains of Fort de Buoux, which towers high above the valley. The open-air visit takes you straight back to the past and the view from the fort is among the wildest and most beautiful of the Luberon.

When in Provence... you of course cannot skip the lavender fields! Between late June and late July, the landscape transforms into a sea of purple lavender fields. Admire the fields at Plateau des Claparèdes, Plateau d’Albion or Plateau de Valensole and learn all about lavender at the Lavender Museum in Coustellet. Combine it with a visit to the Les Agnels distillery in Apt and experience the scent, color and local traditions up close.

A beautiful, quiet, and well-maintained campground with a great pool. The restrooms were always clean, and the old trees provided plenty of pleasant shade. We weren’t as impressed with the restaurant or the lack of bus service for a campground located so far off the beaten path. Dog owners should also note that the terrain is very steep and there are hardly any options for longer walks. Most of the time, you have to walk about 2 km uphill or downhill along the road. Overall, however, it’s a lovely campground for a relaxing stay.

A small, winding campground under the trees 🌳 The sites aren't very large (max. 7.50 m), but there are hot showers—though the shower stalls themselves are a bit too small. Very friendly staff. There's a pool on site. Great for exploring the surrounding area.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Pool am Platz. Super geeignet für Touren in die Umgebung.

The campsite is just over two kilometers from Apt and a village on the mountain, which can only be reached by car or e-bike. Both very nice places, by the way. Reception was friendly and check-in was straightforward. The pitches are very nice and spacious, nestled in a forest. Only when it rains does the pitch get very muddy, which is due to the nature of the forest. The sanitary facilities are older, but well maintained and clean. The pool is easy to use. A bar offers drinks from 16:00 and hot food from 18:00. We felt very comfortable there for a few days.

Fine campsite and by bike you are quickly in Apt. Fine places for your camper or caravan. Plumbing maybe a little older, but very well cleaned. Only point for us was, that there is no real possibility, in the immediate vicinity, with the dog to walk or let out well.

We were delighted with our stay at this campsite: jacuzzi and plancha available on our terrace, very well equipped mobile home (bath mat, hygiene products, sponge, garbage can bag... supplied). The staff were really friendly and gave us plenty of explanations on arrival. The campsite is well located: 5min from the lovely village of Saignon and 5min from downtown Apt with all the shops you need. Thank you very much, we hope to come back next year!
