This charming campsite is praised for its exceptionally hospitable and helpful owners who warmly welcome guests and provide useful tips about the beautiful surroundings. The campsite offers a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere with spacious pitches among trees and beside a stream, ideally located for hikers with various trails starting directly from the site. The sanitary facilities are described as clean and tidy, though there are practical notes about warm water availability at the end of the day and the absence of toilet paper and soap. A great campground in a beautiful part of the Alps. First of all, the climate here. Compared to the rest of France, it’s a lovely 30 degrees during the day in August, and at night it cools down to around 15 degrees. This is due to its location at an altitude of 1,200 meters—perfect!
There’s plenty to do for the kids in the area, and when it comes to biking and hiking, you’ll never get bored here.
The campground is very well maintained by Ed and Astrid. It’s small-scale, and everything is taken care of with passion and attention to detail. In short, this campground comes highly recommended.this is a translation, click here for the original

Quiet campground. Friendly welcome. Clean restrooms. It’s always a shame when toilet paper isn’t provided. Several hiking trails start at the campground. There’s a small restaurant on the campground.

Rustige camping. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Proper sanitair.

The operators are super nice, the site is small and very lovingly laid out, we were completely satisfied. The pitches are very large and nicely shaded. There is also a meadow for tents. More hikers come here anyway. Sometimes you can hear motorcycles from the main road. But there aren't that many passing by. The only drawback: there is only 3G (if at all) in some places and WiFi usage costs a fee. We were offline for 3 days. That was nice too.

As a hiker on the Routo, I don't have a tent and spend the night in a gîte or hotel, if that's not an option. I'm not a big fan of camping, but Lou Passavous, run by Astrid and Ed, is an exception! It's located on the GR, in Le Vernet, on the banks of the Bes river. Ed and Astrid offer an overnight stay in a gypsy caravan with all the comforts of a hotel room, a clothes line and a deckchair to soak up the sun after a shower and laundry chores :) Meals are restaurant-style, with homemade products, boeuf bourguignon, tarte tatin... And the owners are very friendly!
Spend the night there, you'll love it!this is a translation, click here for the original
