It doesn't get more beautiful than this. The most beautiful camping ever! We are going again for the 3rd time in June 2026! The mountains, the river, the nice owner(s), if you like nature and cycling there is almost no better place. Tent 34, here we come(again)! And if there is something with the bike, Jacky will take care of it!

Mooier wordt het niet. Dé mooiste camping ooit! We gaan in juni 2026 voor de 3e keer weer! De bergen, de rivier, de aardige eigenaar(s), als je van natuur houdt en van wandelen en fietsen dan is er bijna geen betere plek. Tent 34, here we come(again)! En als er wat is met de fiets, Jacky regelt het!
Aanvulling: er is geen tent 34 meer, althans niet op de plek die we bedoelden. In 2024 is er - helemaal langs ons heen gegaan - verschrikkelijk noodweer geweest waar de camping onder te lijden heeft gehad. We wilden nu tent 33. Bij aankomst hing er een enveloppe met onze naam waarin we tent 24 toegewezen gekregen hadden. Dat was niet de bedoeling, maar de beide nummers die op het raam bij de receptie stonden en konden worden gebeld gaven geen sjoege. Niemand nam op tijdens de meer dan tien belpogingen. Dan maar tent 24. Dag later mochten we toch verhuizen naar 33. Een mooie rustige plek, tot vanavond nu er een luidruchtig Italiaans gezin met gillende kinderen is neergestreken. Was dat niet het geval, dan 100% blij.
Nu weer thuis en mijn hemel wat mis ik de tent en de omgeving... -

The campground is conveniently located in the center of Vallouise.
Note to hikers on the GR54: there is no designated camping area, so you’ll have to pay full price. That said, the campground offers great amenities: a pool, a lounge with a sofa, TV, and microwave, and spotless restrooms.
For camping, there’s the “Aire du Pont des Places” area, about an hour’s walk along the GR trail, but it was still closed when I passed through in late June.this is a translation, click here for the original
Le camping est bien placé dans le centre de Vallouise.
Attention pour les randonneurs du GR54 il n’y pas de zone bivouac donc il faut payer le prix fort. Après le service sont là , piscine , salle avec canap, télé, micro-onde , sanitaire nickel .
Pour le bivouac il y a l’aire du pont des places à 1h de marche sur le tracé du GR mais c’était encore fermé à mon passage fin juin. -

Overall, it was a pleasant stay; however, the amenities listed (table, chairs, utensils, etc.) on the website do not match what is actually provided in some of the tents. The justification given—“to reconnect with nature”—is completely unacceptable and cannot excuse such a shortcoming.
Given their mistake, a basic level of professionalism would have been to apologize and provide us with the missing items. In the future, it would be wiser to clearly and precisely list the contents of each tent so that guests can anticipate and plan for what they’ll need.this is a translation, click here for the original
Séjour agréable dans l'ensemble, cependant les équipements indiqués (table, chaises, ustensiles…) sur le site internet ne correspondent pas à ce qui est réellement présent dans certaines tentes. La justification avancée « se reconnecter à la nature » est tout à fait inacceptable et ne saurait excuser un tel manquement.
Face à leur erreur, un minimum de professionnalisme aurait été d'adresser des excuses et de nous apporter les éléments manquants. Il serait plus judicieux, à l'avenir, d'indiquer clairement et précisément le contenu de chaque tente, afin que les clients puissent anticiper et prévoir ce dont ils ont besoin. -

We spent two nights in a cozy trapper tent as part of the Trail des Écrins. We loved our stay—the tent was very well-equipped, there were activities and games for the kids, a relaxation area where we could read and have coffee, and a nice pool. It was great. And all of that just two minutes from the starting line, which was really nice since we were setting off at 6 a.m.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits en tente trappeur cosy dans le cadre du trail des ecrins. On a adoré notre séjour, tente très bien équipée, aménagements et jeux pour les enfants, espace détente avec possibilité de lecture et café, piscine agréable, c'était top.
