The location at the Biggesee is beautiful with walking and cycling opportunities in the immediate surroundings. Guests appreciate the peace and nature, although the campsite is clearly in transition with many cordoned-off areas and construction work. The sanitary facilities are a major point for improvement: guests complain about black mould in shower grouting, insufficient hot water during busy periods, and too little toilet capacity because one sanitary building is closed. Staff receive mixed reviews – some experience friendliness and helpfulness, others feel unwelcome or get insufficient response to complaints. There is hardly any entertainment or catering, which is disappointing for families with children.

We were there with friends, staying in two adjacent campsites. When we made the reservation, it looked like everything was booked up, so we booked two spots right next to each other for an extra fee. Upon arrival, it turned out that apparently that couldn’t have been true—there were plenty of open spots. There are two restroom facilities on the site, one of which is apparently being renovated, so we were lucky enough to have restrooms right across from our campsites. On the first day, everything was fine, and the facilities were clean. But by the second day, they hadn’t been cleaned, and the restrooms looked extremely run-down. When we asked at the front desk, we were told rather rudely that the restrooms were cleaned several times a day. We waited. On the second day, it was the same: no cleaning service, and the restrooms were absolutely filthy. There was no toilet paper, and no soap either. We asked again at the front desk, received another snappy response, and witnessed a “follow-up call” right in front of us, during which the woman at the front desk told the cleaning staff that someone had complained and they should clean up now. Then she shoved two rolls of toilet paper and a soap dispenser into my hand and said they’d take care of it. By evening, nothing had happened yet. After contacting the park management, someone finally came after three days without cleaning and did a rudimentary job.
Overall, the campground makes a rather neglected impression. There are many open construction sites, broken paths, and cobblestones even on the actually quite new playground, which was also sufficiently filled in.
When we inquired, the park management offered to make up for the incident with a free night’s stay on our next booking. Thanks, but no thanks.
The location on Waldenburger Bay, with many nearby attractions and a truly beautiful swimming cove, is the only positive thing I can currently say about this campground. It’s a shame—back in the day, before Europarcs took over and converted campsites into vacation homes, things were apparently different.this is a translation, click here for the original

We stayed at the campground for two nights with our 2.5-year-old son. Unfortunately, the price (about 100€) was absolutely not worth it. The campground is, unfortunately, very run-down from start to finish and in dire need of renovation.
The showers were yellowed from top to bottom, broken, and covered with black mold in the grout. Unfortunately, I was able to use very little toilet paper or soap over the two days because the supplies were always empty. When I asked at the front desk, the only response I got was that the outside cleaning company was dealing with staff absences due to illness. Otherwise, the playground is unfortunately very dangerous for children, as the climbing frame lacks any fall protection, such as wood chips, etc. These were neatly piled up next to the playground. The inflatable jumping pad was also broken, and the playroom for children is an absolute hazard. Broken cabinets, loose flooring in the ball pit, trash, and screws scattered everywhere. In my opinion, there wasn’t even a single staff member there during our 3-day stay.
The location of the swimming area is very nice and well-maintained, but it can also be used independently of the campground.
We also used the bread roll service and, for €7.80, unfortunately received six very hard and dry rolls. It’s also good to know that, according to the order form, you can pick up the rolls between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., but the front desk doesn’t open until 8:30 a.m. … so you can’t pick up the rolls until 8:30 a.m. either …
All in all, we were unfortunately very disappointed and probably won’t be coming back a second time.this is a translation, click here for the original

The campsites are terrible! In some cases, it’s impossible to park your trailer without damaging it by scraping the bottom! The restroom building is a run-down shipping container. We left right away! Once and never again.

Beautifully located (about 5 minutes from the lake), clean restrooms, a bread roll delivery service, and a small kiosk on site. It's also quiet at night.

I’m rating this as the campsite where we set up our tent.
Although the location was very central—so we could get to the lake quickly—the campsites themselves looked half like a construction site. It was as if they were still being built or the uneven ground was being leveled.
The only restroom facilities are located at the entrance, and they’re well-equipped. In our hallway, there was a temporary container-style restroom. It was sufficient for a normal bathroom visit, but also very cramped.
For children, there was a trampoline and some nice play areas.
Once we had gotten used to the site and the long walk to the restrooms, everything was bearable and sufficient for five days.this is a translation, click here for the original
