This campground is large enough to have a really nice pool and small enough to ensure that everything is close by. The entertainment team is great (there’s an activity for kids three times a day). You can order pastries and pick them up between 8:00 and 10:00 at the kiosk by the pool. The campsites are very spacious. The private restrooms are fine, though a bit small (this may be because we were one of the few with a slightly older restroom cabin). The guests here are quiet and friendly. Cars aren’t allowed next to the tents but must be parked in the parking lot, which makes the campground ideal for a vacation with younger children.

We had a fantastic week at the Borken am See campground! Highly recommended for anyone with young children. Beautiful accommodations, including very luxurious glamping tents, stationary RVs, and RV and trailer sites. They’re very nicely spread out across the campground. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There’s a great entertainment team for the kids who organize fun activities and make sure the kids have an unforgettable vacation! The campground is centrally located and close to several parks, which is a huge plus if you want to get out and explore. In short, this is a campground we’ll be returning to time and time again, and we highly recommend it to anyone with children up to 12 or 13 years old!

Great campsite. Amazing facilities for small children - especially the pool, numerous playparks and animation. Site was well cared for and tidy. The swimming lake was great fun. Great location for cycling. On-site restaurant had mixed reviews from our group of 10, some loved it and some not so much. Campsite staff were friendly. We hired accommodation which was clean but during heatwaves, air-conditioning is a must!!! Ours did not have it and even with five fans, it was hotter inside than outside!. A small shop on site with toiletries and essentials would be great.
The pool is relatively small for the size of the campsite and can be busy.

A medium sized campsite with very good children entertainment.
No cars are allowed on site at any time.
Bread rolls are available on site - preorder the night before
Nice swimming pool, heated but only just!
    Nice paddle boarding/kayaking lake.
Restaurant is expensive and only ok - would not recommend.
We had a comfort pitch, which was nice and big opposite the children's entertainment. The light didn't work in the private shower, repaired promptly. The shower only had cold water - this was not rectified.
The washing machines on site were broken - solution found promptly.
    No shop on site.
    Bike hire
Too far from town to walk

This is our third year in a row visiting this campground—usually on the spur of the moment, 2–3 times in a row during summer vacation. Children with autism can have a wonderful vacation here, which is why we prefer several short stays at the campground—which are absolutely hassle-free thanks to the staff: just call 1–2 hours ahead, check availability, and head out! The mobile homes are very, very well cleaned. The staff is consistently top-notch; they handle children with disabilities with calmness and understanding.
We’ve always been more than satisfied and will definitely be coming back for several more years.
