Dinosaur Park Teufelsschlucht

Just 4 km from the campsite lies the impressive Dinosaur Park Teufelsschlucht. South Eifel Nature Park is less than 5 km from the campsite and is a true hiking paradise. With over 700 km of marked hiking trails, the park offers routes for every level: from short, relaxing walks to challenging day hikes. Müllerthal

Just a 15-minute drive from the campsite lies the fairytale Müllerthal, also known as Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland — a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. The region is famed for its impressive sandstone formations, lush forests, winding stream valleys, and enchanting gorges. The famous Müllerthal Trail stretches for 112 km via three loops, each with unique landscapes full of rocky cliffs, mosses, and viewpoints. In addition to the main route, there are four extra routes for those who want shorter or themed hikes. Everywhere you’ll find tranquility, nature, and panoramic views.     Great potential, but unfortunately disappointing organization and inadequate sanitary facilities Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay. At first glance, the site appears spacious and attractive, but a closer look reveals considerable shortcomings. The sanitary facilities are outdated and, in our opinion, are only cleaned once a day. We also had the impression that the pitches are not consistently allocated or used according to a recognizable system. As a result, the site appears unstructured and chaotic in places. The location did not meet our expectations either. The campsite is located in the flight path of Luxembourg Airport, which means that aircraft noise is regularly audible. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you should take this into account. It is a particular shame that this campsite is actually located in a very beautiful landscape and has a lot of potential. Overall, the site unfortunately leaves us with the impression that the existing potential is not being fully exploited.

    Großes Potenzial, aber leider enttäuschende Organisation und mangelhafte Sanitäranlagen Wir sind von unserem Aufenthalt leider sehr enttäuscht. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt der Platz großzügig und attraktiv, doch bei näherem Hinsehen zeigen sich erhebliche Mängel. Die Sanitäranlagen sind veraltet und werden nach unserem Eindruck nur einmal täglich gereinigt. Zusätzlich hatten wir den Eindruck, dass die Stellplätze nicht konsequent nach einem erkennbaren Ordnungssystem vergeben oder genutzt werden. Dadurch wirkt der Platz stellenweise unstrukturiert und chaotisch. Auch die Lage entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Der Campingplatz befindet sich in der Einflugschneise des Luxemburger Flughafens, sodass regelmäßig Fluglärm wahrnehmbar ist. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, sollte dies berücksichtigen. Besonders schade ist, dass dieser Platz eigentlich in einer sehr schönen Landschaft liegt und viel Potenzial hätte. Insgesamt hinterlässt der Platz bei uns leider den Eindruck, dass das vorhandene Potenzial nicht ausgeschöpft wird.

    A fine (though full) campground where we had a nice spot by the river. However, there was a lot of traffic and thus noise audible from the other side of the river. This was the reason for us not to stay an extra night here and drive on. The village is within walking distance has many restaurants and is well set up for tourism. In short the all in all conclusion: Nothing wrong with it.

    Een prima (wel volle) camping waarbij wij een mooi plekje aan de rivier hadden. Er was echter wel flink wat verkeersdrukte en dus lawaai vanaf de andere kant van de rivier hoorbaar. Dit was voor ons de reden om niet nog een nacht extra hier te blijven en door te rijden. Het dorpje is op loopafstand heeft veel restaurants en is goed op toerisme ingesteld. Kortom de alles overziende conclusie: Niet mis mee.

    Yes, the campsite has a Camping-Bistro where you can get your meals. You can also dine at the adjacent beer garden. In the morning, a baker comes to deliver fresh bread rolls.
