The campsite is beautifully situated along the Sauer River, directly opposite the historic town of Echternach in Luxembourg, and offers spacious grass pitches. Guests appreciate the central location with shops and restaurants within walking distance, the heated swimming pool, and the friendly welcome. Sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, although visitors note that one cleaning round per day can sometimes be insufficient during busy periods. The campsite is popular with families and ideally located for hiking in the Mullerthal region.

We, a family of three, stayed here at the Echternacherbrück Campground during peak season.

We’ve been to many campgrounds, but this one is very disappointing.

The price is already reflected in the other campers. It’s cheap, and the quality suffers as a result. Friendliness and helpfulness are completely overrated here, unless you’re from the Netherlands or Belgium. Keep in mind that we’re here in Germany.

During peak season, the restrooms are cleaned only once a day, and you really notice it in the women’s area—dirty, filthy, just gross. I ended up taking a shower in the men’s area myself, where it was at least somewhat cleaner. As for the toilets… well, luckily we had our RV with us.

The campground advertises and specifically highlights internet access, but unfortunately, that’s not the case either.

Sometimes awards aren’t really what they’re cracked up to be—you definitely shouldn’t rely on them.

Germany still has a lot to learn when it comes to camping.

Overall, a nice campground with an on-site swimming pool.
We had booked a sleeping barrel since nothing else was available.
This cost a whopping 350 euros for 3 nights. Massively overpriced given the amenities. Two small, narrow beds that definitely don’t offer a restful night’s sleep for an adult.
There’s also a slightly larger bed, but you have to climb up to it because it’s positioned above the other beds. To stock the small fridge (which is located under the large bed), you have to lie down on the floor.
Naturally, there’s no toilet or shower.
If you compare this to a mobile home, which can be booked for 450 euros during the same period, it’s not even in the same league.
The walk to the tent field is also very long… since we had to make this trip several times a day, it was really annoying. So I’m deducting points for the location.

Bottom line: it’s actually a nice campground, but it’s too expensive given the circumstances.

Daher Abzug was die Lage angeht.

The restaurant has no waitstaff; it would be nice to put up a sign with this information.
Upon arrival, we were given only a map and no further explanation about the campground.
The spot by the water wasn’t what we expected. It was pretty tight for our 5m50 caravan, with traffic noise and bare ground with no shade. There’s a slight odor from the water treatment plant across the way, which only bothers you when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction. In the summer, when temperatures exceed 25°C, a few more trees or other greenery (hedges, grass, or the like) wouldn’t hurt. It’s just a bare expanse... The restrooms were clean, but the layout feels more like a maze than a practical design.
There are other campgrounds in the area that are cheaper and more pleasant to stay at.
