We spent 10 days at Altomincio Family Park with two adults and two children. We booked an “hu stay Easy XL Hill” cottage.

    About the park:
The park looked well-maintained and was laid out in a very clear and organized way, so it was easy to find your way around.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception staff also always had helpful answers to our questions. The pool area also made a good impression, and the kids had a great time there. The supermarket was also impressive with its selection and prices (slightly more expensive than in town, but reasonable given the location).

    About the house:
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our house. We weren’t impressed with either its condition or its location within the park.
The house was built in 2009, which unfortunately shows. It looked a bit worn out.
One of the bedroom doors wouldn’t close properly, but this was quickly fixed. The flooring was uneven in places, so you could trip. The kitchen is simply equipped and functional, but unfortunately there were no bowls for cereal or other items. What really marred our experience, however, was that there was sometimes no hot water in the kitchen—or none for several minutes at a time—and we experienced power outages 4–6 times a day, especially during the first few days. Each house has a gas grill, which unfortunately was barely usable because it could no longer be adjusted and didn’t get hot enough.
We also didn’t experience any of the quiet location that the Hill Houses are supposed to offer. The house was located right next to the driveway to the parking lot and across from a restaurant. On the other side of the house was a playground, so it was constantly relatively noisy until 11:30 p.m. The walking distances from the house to the pool or the supermarket were also a bit of a hassle. With kids, it easily took 15 minutes each way.
The “train” provided for this purpose in the park was unfortunately often so crowded that we couldn’t ride it and ended up having to walk again. All these little things really spoiled the experience for us.

    Regarding the organization:
Check-in and check-out went absolutely smoothly and stress-free; requests for fresh linens or other concerns were also handled quickly.
What bothered us was that the prices at the beach bar were disproportionately high, especially for drinks.
In addition, we were woken up every morning at 6:45 a.m. by the garbage collection crew, who emptied the bins 30 meters away from the house, so the park isn’t suitable for late sleepers.

Overall, we still had a nice time, but we won’t be returning to the park because there were too many issues.

    Dear all,

Overall, my experience at this campsite was good. However, I was very disappointed to see that smoking is allowed throughout the entire resort, including at the swimming pool where many children are present.

I found this very unpleasant and inappropriate. There are children with asthma and other health conditions who can be affected by secondhand smoke. I also noticed that employees were smoking throughout the campsite, which did not set a good example.

I believe there should be designated smoking areas away from children and shared family spaces, especially around the swimming pool.

Thank you for taking my feedback into consideration. I hope you will review your smoking policy to make the resort healthier and more enjoyable for all guests.

    Kind regards,
