Great location, but the service and value for money were a letdown

We stayed at this campground for 4 days in early October 2026. While the surroundings and basic amenities were impressive, the “Paradise” site category was a complete letdown.

The positives:
• Beach & Sea: Beautiful and right at your doorstep.
• Amenities: A … bakery and good restaurants are located nearby.
• Restrooms: Although a bit older, they were always functional and very clean.

The negatives (the “Paradise” site category for >75 EUR per night):
• Lack of maintenance: There was trash lying around in plain sight on the expensive premium site.
• Condition: The fountain on the site was filled with green, stagnant water. No hedges or bushes to serve as boundaries.
• No ocean view: Despite the high price and the name, all you see is a concrete wall.
• Restrictions starting in October: The pool closes as early as October 3.

• Handling of complaints (service):
We asked the front desk every day to at least clean the fountain and remove the trash. On the third day, we resubmitted our request in writing via email. The response on the first day was disappointing: We were told that with 900 spots, they couldn’t check all of them for cleanliness. Given the revenue generated by 900 sites, that’s a very weak excuse. Still, on the afternoon of the fourth day, the fountain was repaired. However, the trash remained there until our departure.
Conclusion & Tip:
It’s absolutely incomprehensible why this category is so expensive. My strong recommendation: Book a cheaper site category! The extra cost for the “Paradise Site” is absolutely not worth it. I wouldn’t make a reservation in October. The campground is only about 10–20% full. That way, you’ll have the option to move elsewhere if the service isn’t up to par. Read more Show less

It’s actually a pretty nice campground with a great beach and hiking trails. We were here in mid-October, and unfortunately, the place already seemed very deserted—or rather, closed—the ice cream shop and the pool had already closed, and the mini-market already had quite a few empty shelves. It was really quiet there (early October).
We booked online, but there were extra booking fees.
We paid about 60 euros per night with our dog for the cheapest spot.
You could choose any spot you wanted.
It was a bit of a walk to the beach because the campground is large.
The restrooms were okay. The shower had a sink, a mirror, and … an electrical outlet.
There were a lot of mosquitoes, flies, and wasps.
The beach was pretty flat, with only a few rocks here and there. Read more Show less

We stayed here for a week in October. Since this campground closes on October 17, the selection at the market was already very limited. The restrooms aren’t new anymore, but they’re clean. Hot water for the 🚿 and in the dishwashing area. Washing machines are available—they cost 6 euros per load. The beach is gorgeous, but dogs aren’t allowed on … the beach.
The campground is very large but was only minimally occupied.
There are showers, restrooms, and sinks right at the entrance to the beach. Large playground.
Our campsite was a decent size, but the electrical outlet was a whole cable reel’s length away. The same went for the water hookup.
Although rated at only 3A, the fuse rating is higher. I sometimes cooked with 1,200 watts, which can reach 6A.
Unfortunately, the nearest shopping options are at least 15 km away. So bring everything you can with you right away. Except for drinking water—it costs 1.74 euros for 12 liters at the store. Read more Show less

On our vacation in Sardinia this year, this was by far the best of all the Baia Holiday campgrounds we visited. The entire property is well-maintained. The restrooms were always clean. The proximity to the pebble beach—which is great for snorkeling—is fantastic, and there are several exits you can use to leave the property. We’d love to come back. … A big shout-out to the reception staff. Absolutely kid-friendly. Even though the playground is a bit dated, it was the best spot for us on this vacation. We booked a mobile home through Homair Eurocamp and a separate platform that we’ve used to book more than 10 different campgrounds in Italy, Austria, and Corsica so far.

We were here during the off-season.

There are two check-in counters. That’s sufficient during the off-season, but a line still formed with a wait time of about 30 … minutes. I have no idea how long the wait is during peak season.

Reception staff: very aloof. You can really sense a two-tiered system. That is, guests who booked directly with the campground are allowed to drive their cars onto the grounds. Guests who booked through a third-party provider are only allowed onto the grounds to unload their belongings during the off-season. After that, the car must be parked in a communal parking lot—note that it’s outside the campground and unguarded. However, this isn’t stated that way by the third-party provider. They only mention that the car must be parked in a communal parking lot, but nowhere do they mention that it’s outside the campground and unguarded. That would have been an important factor for us to consider before booking!

The campground is packed to the brim with mobile homes and campsites.

The beautiful pine forest is a real highlight, providing shade over large areas of the campsites and mobile homes.

An eco-tax must be paid on site. 2 adults and 2 children for a whopping 81 euros. This was listed on the third-party booking site, but we overlooked it. Yes, it’s our own fault—but it won’t happen to us again.
When I asked what we were paying for, I was told it was a usage fee.
At this point, it’s unclear to me why the car doesn’t get a secure parking spot and why a separate usage fee applies when I booked a mobile home at this campground. That sort of thing should be included.
The eco-tax is also unclear to me, since we were given a plastic wristband. Many other campgrounds have already switched to fabric. To me, that’s a contradiction.

The pool is okay, aside from cleanliness and maintenance. The tiles have noticeable green stains, and there are large amounts of sand and gravel on the floor. It’s a real shame that the tiles and pavers around the pool don’t seem to be cleaned. The bird droppings are still in the same spots even at the end of the stay.
Swim caps are mandatory. They cost 3 euros each if you don’t have one with you.
The lifeguard is stationed in a spot where she can’t see all the pools, and she’s very often busy on her cell phone.
You’re not allowed to set up your own umbrellas by the pool. You either have to buy a lounge chair with an umbrella for 15 euros a day or find a spot in the shade. But even those are hard to come by in the off-season.

Our mobile home is great—the service from Homair Eurocamp is good as always.

We learned that during the season, guests weren’t even allowed to drive onto the site to unload. That means lugging luggage at least 0.5 km to 1 km. I’ve really never experienced anything like that before.

There’s another downside: low water pressure in the showers. This is actually not uncommon, but there are also a few campgrounds that have this under great control. Unfortunately, this one isn’t one of them.

The beach is great—a cove every few hundred meters, sometimes with gravel, sometimes with coarse sand, and sometimes with fine, almost white sand. Excellent water sports opportunities.

The ice cream is delicious.

There’s a playground, though it’s probably packed to the brim during peak season. There are many shortcomings here, and quite a few things are broken that haven’t been repaired either. Read more Show less
