Tuscan cities around glamping
Florence is the biggest city around the glamping, but in Tuscany, you will find many other historic cities. Head toward San Gimignano, whose hilltop location gives you a good view of the rolling countryside. An hour's drive and you'll be in the town full of restaurants and atmospheric streets. Siena is another option just over an hour away. The central square is sometimes used for horse races, and the streets around it offer restaurants, stores, and delicious Italian ice cream. Looking for a small town? Then drive to Lucca. Lucca is a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away. Eat the tastiest tiramisu in the historic center and take a stroll along the city wall.

A day trip to Florence
Take the bus that stops in front of the glamping or drive yourself towards beautiful Florence. After a half-hour drive through the green countryside, you will reach the historic city. In Florence, you will find several famous museums. Dive into history at the Uffizi Gallery or go to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's famous David statue. Stroll along the Ponte Vecchio where you'll pass the finest jewelers, enjoy an Italian ice cream around the cathedral, and browse the quaint stores. End your day with a fresh plate of pasta or delicious pizza, and then head back to the luxury safari tents at the glamping in Tuscany to rest after a day full of impressions.
Wines from the Chianti region
The area between Florence and Siena is known as the Chianti region. Bursting with vineyards, the hilly landscape is the place to go as a wine lover. Visit Castello Da Verrazzano where they will lovingly tell you all about their wines during a guided tour. Take a look in the wine cellars and taste the local flavors. Castello Da Verrazzano is a 45-minute drive away.
Relax in Parco di Pratolino
Just outside the city of Florence lies the green Parco di Pratolino. On this estate, you will find a grand villa, several works of art and walk past beautiful fountains. Highlighted by the 14-meter-tall statue "Colossus of the Apennines," there is much to admire here. 45 minutes in the car, and you reach the park that today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk among the greenery and enjoy the tranquility.

We did a week taken camping in one of their bungalows. The campsite is large and with many facilities, they have a restaurant a market and large and clean swimming pool. Near the bungalows are flowers and manicured greenery. Our bungalow was clean but had some flaws. On the wall was a crack in the drywall or what be the walls. It was divided into 2 apartments and poorly insulated, you could hear everything. When they walked into neighboring apartment it was like they were rooming with us. On the patio between 2 apartments there is a wall of wooden board spaced apart, but there is no privacy if in next apartment they eat out ... you look at them in the flat. The room and equipped with a kitchenette with refrigerator, electric stove with 2 burner microwave. Also there were dishes a pot and 2 frying pans, all the useful to cook for you. A kit with detergent sponge and cleaning cloth is provided. In the room there is air conditioning and TV but no channels can be seen , we called the front desk and a very annoyed girl answered. Finally provided us with settings with which we could see rai news and many foreign channels. Closet and very small is enough for only one person the bed was made up of 2 single beds but the person who had to sleep near the window had a hard time getting up get down because it is a very small space. Next to the bed there is also a sofa bed . They are provided 2 towels, sheets, 2 pillows ( very uncomfortable) in the closet there are blankets. The bathroom has a fairly large shower but the up and down with hand shower was half broken. In the bathroom there were 2 bottles with soap/shampoo . Cars can be parked nearby on the driveway. The campground borders highway so those staying in bungalows at night hear all the traffic.

Great location in the Tuscan hills. Can't speak to the cabins or "glamping", but camping pitches were roomy and shaded. Bathroom/washroom facilities are s bit far apart, if you're unlucky enough to end up right in the middle between the two complexes. Wifi leaves much to be desired. But staff are mostly friendly and accommodating. I have to give a special shout-out to my new friend, Lino the bartender.
