Relax on the beach of the Tuscan coast
From the campsite, you can walk straight to the beach at Marina di Castagneto Carducci. A wide coastline with sand, dunes, and clear water. Slightly further away are places like San Vincenzo and Marina di Bibbona, where you can stroll along the boulevard or relax on a terrace. During the day, you alternate between beach and sea, while grabbing something to eat or drink along the coast.
Visit the picturesque villages in the area
In the area, there are several Tuscan villages such as Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. Narrow streets, small squares, and views over the hills. In Bolgheri, you enter the village via a long avenue lined with cypresses. Along the way, you'll come across wineries and small restaurants featuring local dishes on the menu. Take your time to walk around and stop somewhere.
Walk and cycle along the coast & nature parks
Along the coast there are several nature reserves where you can walk and cycle. The Rimigliano nature park is a short distance away and runs right along the sea. Here, you walk between pine trees, dunes, and open stretches of beach. Further inland are areas such as Bolgheri and Montioni, with routes through forests and hills. On the way, you’ll encounter little development, and the surroundings are mainly defined by nature. The paths are suitable for both short walks and longer hikes. Thanks to the combination of forest and coast, it feels different every time. Bring water and wear good shoes, as some routes have gentle inclines and descents.
Experience roller coasters and water sports
About 2 kilometers away you'll find Cavallino Matto, an amusement park with roller coasters, water attractions, and shows. It's a place where you can easily spend a whole day. For those who prefer something a bit quieter, there are several coastal towns nearby where you can swim, cycle, or rent a boat. In San Vincenzo you'll find a harbor and opportunities for water sports. Cecina and Vada are also within reach for a day trip. Here you'll find a mix of beaches, small shops, and local markets. In the surrounding area, you can also cycle along the coast or head inland. The distances are easy to manage, allowing you to combine multiple places in a single day.

We stayed at a beautiful spot last year! Just a few meters from the gorgeous beach, complete with a beach bar. We booked again last fall for this coming summer—we can’t wait! 💛 Be sure to bring some ant spray!

De sanitaire voorzieningen zijn echt ondermaats. Tevens zijn bijvoorbeeld te kapotte elementen in het zwembad na een jaar nog steeds niet opgelost. -

A fun, beautiful, and cozy campground in a prime location in a lovely wooded area next to a wonderful beach.
You pay a hefty fee for the final cleaning, but upon arrival, our chalet wasn’t exactly very clean. So I’d skip that and just grab a broom myself when you check in; same result.
The Wi-Fi (and 5G coverage) is downright terrible. But hey, you’re on vacation, so that has its perks too :)
The restaurants are great, and the coffee is delicious! The entertainment is fun for the kids, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful!
The pool is shallow, but the kids love it; the water slides are closed all afternoon even though the lifeguard is sitting right next to them the whole time—a bit strange and a shame. The deeper pool is very small and therefore gets way too crowded quickly. The pool also closes very early (7:00 PM)… but luckily there’s the lovely warm sea ;)
Sunbeds on the private beach are very expensive and therefore 80% empty. I’d say cut the price in half; all the loungers would be filled, and your bar would see four times the revenue… (but I’m afraid the price of the loungers is set by law)
What really is top-notch service: Free electric car charging at the campground entrance!
Oh, and the (very tiny) ants 🐜 are indeed everywhere (and I mean everywhere), but if you keep everything tightly sealed, don’t leave any food lying around, and sprinkle plenty of ant killer, it’s not as bad as it seems.this is a translation, click here for the original
Leuke, mooie gezellige camping op een toplocatie in een mooi bosrijk gebied aan een heerlijk strand.
Je betaald flink voor de eind schoonmaak maar bij aankomst was onze chalet nou niet bepaald heel schoon. Dus ik zou die besparen en gewoon zelf ff de bezem pakken bij betrek; zelfde resultaat.
De wifi (en 5G bereik) is ronduit waardeloos. Maar goed, je bent op vakantie dus dat heeft ook z’n voordelen :)
Restaurants zijn prima en de koffie is heerlijk! Animatie is leuk voor de kids en al het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam!
Zwembad is ondiep maar kids vinden het heerlijk, glijbanen heel de middag dicht terwijl de lifeguard er wel gewoon heel de middag naast zit, beetje raar en jammer. Diepere zwembad is heel klein en dus snel veel te druk. Zwembad sluit ook heel vroeg (19:00)… maar gelukkig is daar de heerlijke warme zee ;)
Bedjes op het privé strand zijn heel duur en dus 80% leeg. Ik zou zeggen halveer de prijs; alle bedjes zijn gevuld en je bar draait een viervoudige omzet… (maar ben bang dat de prijs van de bedjes wettelijk bepaald is)
Wat wel echt een top service is: Auto gratis opladen bij ingang van de camping!
Oja en de (hele kleine) mieren 🐜 zitten idd overal (maar echt overal) maar alles goed dichthouden, geen eten laten slingeren en veel gif strooien dan valt het allemaal wel mee. -

A beautifully situated, fairly large campground in a pine forest. The campground’s location and the campground itself are good. However, the restrooms are clearly in need of replacement and are quite dirty (see photos). You’d expect more when you’re paying around €1,000 to €1,100 per week for a campsite during peak season, as was the case for us.
The campground is nestled among the pine trees. You have to get lucky with your spot. Some spots get a lot of sun. With temperatures of 37–38 degrees, it was very hot in our case and we were sweating buckets, but these days it’s hot all over Europe 😄. There are fewer trees closer to the sea than a bit further inland.
We thought we’d escape all the ants in this forest, but after five days, they completely took over our RV 😅. That’s when we realized why most people here sprinkle ant powder around their RVs and cars. So do that right away when you arrive; it’ll save you a lot of cleaning later on.
The large pool is nice for cooling off, though you can’t really swim in it because of the depth (max 40 cm)—but it’s great for lounging in, which is exactly what many parents, including us, did. The kids had a great time on the water slide, which was used a lot.

Mooi gelegen, redelijk grote camping in een pijnboombos. De locatie van de camping en de camping zelf zijn goed. Het sanitair is echter duidelijk aan vervanging toe en redelijk smerig (zie foto’s). Daar verwacht je meer van wanneer je in het hoogseizoen rond de €1.000 tot €1.100 per week betaalt voor een kampeerplaats, in ons geval.
De camping ligt tussen de dennen (pijnbomen). Je moet geluk hebben met je plek. Sommige plekken hebben veel zon. Met 37–38 graden was het in ons geval erg heet en zweten geblazen, maar tegenwoordig is het in heel Europa heet 😄. Richting de zee staan minder bomen dan iets verder landinwaarts.
Wij dachten in dit bos te ontsnappen aan alle mieren, maar na vijf dagen namen ze onze caravan volledig over 😅. Toen begrepen we waarom de meeste mensen hier mierenpoeder rondom hun caravan en auto strooiden. Doe dat dus meteen als je aankomt; dat scheelt je achteraf een hoop schoonmaakwerk.
Het grote zwembad is fijn om even in af te koelen, echt zwemmen gaat niet ivm diepte (max 40cm), wel lekker om in te liggen, wat veel ouders, waaronder wij, dan ook deden. De kinderen vermaakten zich prima op de waterslidebaan, daar werd veel gebruik van gemaakt.
Al met al een fijne camping, zeker als de sanitairgebouwen vernieuwd worden.
