Guests highly appreciate this small-scale campsite for its peaceful location and beautiful natural surroundings, ideal for hikers wanting to explore the many trails around the reservoir. The camper pitches with paved surfaces and complete facilities receive many compliments, as do the friendly, multilingual staff and the convenient bread service via the app. The sanitary facilities are praised for their cleanliness, although some guests note that the shower rooms are small and hot water is sometimes limited after 6pm.

I spent a long weekend sleeping in a barrel with my best friend. It was really fun. It wasn’t even too hot—it was actually nice and cool—and I slept really well, which I hadn’t expected. The staff was very friendly and helped us out here and there. I highly recommend it.

A 15-minute walk from the lake. The staff is charming, but the campsites for cyclists are expensive (€34 per night). A beautiful view of the valley.

It’s been a while since I was here at the campground, but it’s always good to leave a review!
I stayed here from October 27, 2025, through November 2, 2025, in a tent. Upon arrival, everything was pretty easy to find: the reception desk, restrooms, etc., were all well-marked and clearly indicated.
After checking in at the reception desk (a Dutch-speaking lady—so easy!), I was given all the information I needed. They also mentioned that there’s a campground app where you can order things like bread.
Then there was the spot I was assigned: I was the only one (except for one day) who came with a tent, so I basically had my pick. Nice, spacious sites with power outlets right on the spot, so no hassle with 25-meter extension cords, etc. The only slight downside: the ground was very soggy; it had rained quite a bit the week before, and you could really tell. But you can’t hold a campground responsible for the weather 😉—though it’s something to keep in mind: mud/clay.
The campground is beautiful and peaceful; just cross the road and you’re right in the woods.
The restrooms are (I think they’re brand new) nice and clean—and free 😍. No tokens, no push buttons—just turn on the faucet, shower as long as you want, and you’re done. I shared the facilities with a few other campers, so I can’t say what it’s like during peak season, but it was very clean this time!
All in all, I had a great week. And I can highly recommend the campground!this is a translation, click here for the original

Camping Lieffrange is easily the worst campground I’ve ever stayed at. It’s dirty, badly maintained, infested with mice, and as a Luxembourgish local, I was genuinely embarrassed by the state of it. The website photos are wildly deceptive—the grounds offer zero privacy, no shade, and non-stop traffic noise from the main road. Women are left queuing for just 3 toilets and 2 showers, and hot water shuts off completely after 21:00. To top it off, the "playground" is tiny and rotting, and with reception unstaffed and unlocked after 18:00, there is zero security or control over late-night partying.
