Open Air Museum Robbesscheier!
Visit the enchanting Robbesscheier Open Air Museum! Enter a world full of fascinating traditions and discover rural Luxembourg life. Explore craft workshops, meet farm animals and learn about ancient customs. Enjoy educational demonstrations and taste local delicacies. Located near the village of Munshausen (near Clervaux), a 7-minute drive from the campground, the museum is a fun outing for the whole family.
Visit Bastogne (30 km)
Bastogne, also known as Bastogne, is an atmospheric old town with charming stores, squares and, last but not least, two museums dedicated to the Ardennes Offensive during World War II. Bastogne played a crucial role in pushing back German troops, with the Allies continuing their advance from this city. The Bastogne War Museum, located in this region, is the premier museum about World War II in the Ardennes and Belgium.
Put on your hiking boots
Camping Val d'Or offers a range of hiking opportunities, with routes of various heights and lengths worthwhile all year round. Three routes of 16, 8 and 5 kilometers depart from the campground, respectively. The nearby villages have trails that begin as early as 1.5 kilometers away. Located on the Escapardenne Eisleck Trail, the campground is the starting point for this famous 106-kilometer hike, from Kautenbach to La-Roche-en-Ardenne, through the beautiful Ardennes countryside. The Lee Trail, an addition in 2015, adds 53 kilometers to this route, from Kautenbach to Ettelbruck. Divisible into three stages, this trail offers a constant alternation of historic villages, breathtaking Ardennes scenery and serene natural areas.
Vianden and Vianden Castle (30-minute drive)
When the "Oranges" were still rulers of Luxembourg, the castle was known as the "Orange Castle," but today as Chateau Vianden. The most beautifully restored castle in Luxembourg where medieval festivities take place during the summer vacations. Time flies when you visit Vianden. The winding Our River traverses the old town, with cozy terraces along its banks. Take the chairlift to the top of the hill and enjoy the view of the valley and the castle. The area also invites walks, adventures in the "Indian Forest" climbing forest, or a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool overlooking the old castle. On the way back, a visit to the Hydropower Plant, just outside the town along the Our River, is a must.

Nice campsite with good cuisine and neatly maintained all. Also the toilet and shower facility fine. There is a separate facility for chemical toilet really a top campsite. For children in the vacation a separate program and fun playgrounds.

Nice neat campsite located in a small quiet village. Really very friendly Staff (especially that Harderwijker). The campsite is divided into North and South and we were on South. There are only 2 toilets and unfortunately no showers and that is a pity. Really recommended to spend a few days here to enjoy cycling or hiking.

Is ok. Clean and in a great location. Children and dogs are very welcome! What's great is that you get fresh bread rolls delivered to your door/tent in the morning! Now that we've seen other campsites, I'll have to revise my review. The pitch where we stayed was very muddy. The sanitary area is cold. Toilets right next to the terrace... oh well. Unfortunately no gastronomy in that sense. Ok, we were there in the low season. The pizza you have to take with you... Eating on site is just not desirable. Zero taste. Too expensive for that. Electricity... 6A is far too little. Others offer more power. Car has to be parked outside. Not great either. It's just a matter of taste. I'm spoiled by other places now. They offer more. What's cool.... Seating everywhere! That's great!

Null Geschmack. Dafür zu teuer. Strom... 6A ist viel zu wenig. Andere bieten da mehr Leistung. Auto muss draußen geparkt werden. Auch nicht so toll. Ist halt "Geschmacksache". Ich bin jetzt verwöhnt von anderen Plätzen. Die bieten mehr. Was cool ist.... überall Sitzgelegenheiten! Das ist prima!

Beautiful, quiet campground. Pretty small pitches so can be difficult on arrival and departure. For our extended weekend it was quiet and we were able to place and remove the caravan quite easily. Beautiful surroundings and were able to take beautiful walks. No noise pollution from the nearby train. Pizza vending machine works well, good, normal prices. Also the friterie was tasty.

Mooie, rustige camping. Pizza automaat werkt goed, goede, normale prijzen. Ook de friterie was lekker.
