The maintenance leaves a bit to be desired. The surroundings are beautiful, and the owners are friendly. But a little more attention could be paid to older guests or those with limited mobility.

We read many different reviews but decided to experience it for ourselves anyway; we already knew that the owner sticks to the opening hours, and we respected them as well. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly lady who explained everything clearly and showed us how to get to our site. The site was spacious and had plenty of shade. … The campground was a great base for all kinds of activities, and the food available there was of excellent quality. In short, we don’t entirely agree with the negative reviews. It was also nice that they clearly communicated about things like nearby events, both via email and the app. One point of constructive criticism is that, unfortunately, there are people who let their dogs cool off in the stream where lots of children play—and, unfortunately, instead of just cooling off, the dogs also relieve themselves there. So perhaps a designated dog-walking area would be helpful. Furthermore, we had a spot with private restroom facilities, and that was a major disappointment. There’s a sign saying you have to keep it clean yourself, which makes sense, but please don’t leave someone else’s mess behind. It’s a DIY wooden shed with space for two, and our neighbors only used it in the evening—it was way too hot and cramped. Also, be careful when stepping outside to make sure you step on that one tile—otherwise, you’ll end up taking another shower.

We read a lot of reviews, but you always have to experience things for yourself. The welcome was courteous, professional, and informative. We knew the owner likes to stick to opening hours, and we respected that. The food was well prepared, and our spot was great—with plenty of shade. So we don’t agree with the negative reviews. Another positive … was that they communicated very clearly about details like events, for example, and the app is great. I do have two constructive comments, though. Some people let their dogs relieve themselves in the little river where children are playing—this is absolutely unacceptable, and we don’t understand what possesses these people. We had a spot with private restroom facilities, and they weren’t great. It was a homemade shed with entrances on two sides—way too hot, not clean, and there’s a form inside that you’re supposed to fill out yourself. We definitely get that, but we don’t think they checked up on the people who were there before us. Finally, the paving around the site could be a bit safer—if you’re not careful, you’ll end up taking another shower.
