The location was perfect for our goal of riding “the 1,000 turns” on Saturday. Our mobile home didn’t have air conditioning, the patio on the lawn was swarming with ants, and we even had two hornets pay us a visit. But what I found unacceptable was that the cafeteria was closed after we returned, exhausted, from our meetup because the Netherlands had a soccer game. So all the non-Dutch guests were penalized. So for me, there are undoubtedly much better places than this one.

A beautiful location, a wonderfully peaceful campground. It has everything a hiker or someone seeking peace and quiet could want. The restrooms are spotless. The campground is in a fantastic location, with the Klierf River meandering through and alongside it. There’s a pizza vending machine near the back parking lot that serves up truly delicious pizzas. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and were able to unwind on the porch of the chalet we rented. At this time of year, we were accompanied by a wonderful chorus of birdsong. Every now and then, you feel like you’re right in the middle of the forest. We’re very satisfied!

A campground for Dutch people. At least, that’s why we chose it—because we wanted to watch the Netherlands’ game (at 1:00 a.m.). And they were showing it there.
It’s a cozy place, with—at that time (late June)—naturally a lot of older people. But the atmosphere was great.
A small restaurant with a nice menu. Delicious beers and cocktails. We had a great time there one night. We would have loved to stay here for a few days. Beautiful surroundings!

Mooie omgeving!
