The park is beautifully situated in the middle of the forest and is appreciated by guests for its tranquillity, space and beautiful natural surroundings. The reception staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the accommodations and the park itself is often a positive point. The indoor pool with slide and the option to use the adjacent outdoor pool for free are well received. However, many guests point out that cleaning is inconsistent, particularly in the pool changing rooms and sometimes also in the lodges. Additionally, the restaurant is described as limited in opening hours and quality, leaving room for improvement.

    Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay at EuroParcs Ruinen. The vacation home is suitable for two people at most—it’s much too small for four. The bathroom was extremely cramped: a tiny sink and a shower that was way too small and had no door, so the entire bathroom was flooded after every shower. On top of that, the water drained very poorly.
    The terrace was the only real highlight. The surrounding area is rather boring; the nearby towns have very little to offer, and there’s also little entertainment for adults at the campground.

    Another major drawback is the lack of air conditioning. When temperatures were high, the house became unbearably hot—this was particularly stressful with a dog, as there were hardly any ways to escape the heat.

    Leider waren wir vom Aufenthalt im EuroParcs Ruinen enttäuscht. Das Ferienhaus ist maximal für zwei Personen geeignet – für vier viel zu klein. Das Badezimmer war extrem eng: winziges Waschbecken, viel zu kleine Dusche ohne Tür, sodass nach jedem Duschen das ganze Bad unter Wasser stand. Außerdem lief das Wasser nur sehr schlecht ab.
    Die Terrasse war das einzige echte Highlight. Die Umgebung ist eher langweilig, die umliegenden Orte bieten kaum etwas und auch auf dem Campingplatz gibt es für Erwachsene wenig Unterhaltung.

    Ein großes Manko ist außerdem die fehlende Klimaanlage. Bei hohen Temperaturen wurde das Haus unerträglich heiß – besonders mit Hund war das sehr belastend, da es kaum Möglichkeiten gab, der Hitze zu entkommen.

    Für den Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet.

    A terrible experience, a mouse infestation, and zero service.

    Our week at EuroParcs Ruinen was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, the cottage was far from clean, but the real shock came afterward: there were mice running everywhere. We saw them in the utility closet, the kitchen, and even heard them scurrying across the ceiling. Because of the intense stench of mouse urine, we couldn’t even use several bedrooms the entire week.
    When we reported this immediately upon arrival, we were given an excuse that the exterminator couldn’t come by. After that, absolutely nothing was done about it the entire week. When we checked out, we brought it up again, only to be told, “Oh, that’s too bad; I can’t find any record of it in the system.” No action, no compensation, and absolutely no accountability. I definitely do not recommend this place!

    Vreselijke ervaring, overlast van muizen en nul service.

    Onze week bij EuroParcs Ruinen is een enorme teleurstelling geweest. Bij aankomst was het huisje verre van schoon, maar de echte shock kwam daarna: er lopen overal muizen. We zagen ze in de meterkast, de keuken en hoorde ze zelfs over het plafond lopen. Door de intense stank van muizenurine hebben we meerdere slaapkamers de hele week niet eens kunnen gebruiken.
    Toen we dit direct bij aankomst meldden, kregen we een smoesje te horen dat de bestrijder niet langs kon komen. Vervolgens is er de hele week absoluut níets mee gedaan. Bij het uitchecken hebben we het opnieuw aangegeven, waarop we slechts de reactie kregen: "Oh wat vervelend, ik kan het nergens terugvinden in het systeem." Geen actie, geen compensatie en geen enkele verantwoording. Absoluut geen aanrader!

    A great place for a family + dog! Beautiful surroundings, and our cottage was in a lovely spot. The beds were made and clean, there was plenty of cutlery and kitchenware (though no coasters), and nice soaps.

    Our dog was so happy to get a treat and a small tennis ball! She felt right at home!

    Ruinen is a charming little village (Wapen van Ruinen is a must-visit!) with beautiful nature nearby. The mini-golf course was also fun, and they did a great job with the gnome trail. All in all, we definitely enjoyed our stay!

    Leuke plek met gezin + hond! Mooie omgeving en ons huisje lag op een mooie plek. Bedden waren opgemaakt en schoon, voldoende bestek en keukengerei (alleen geen onderzetters), en lekkere zeepjes.

    Heel leuk voor onze hond dat ze een traktatie en tennisballetje kreeg! Voelde zich meteen thuis!

    Ruinen is een gezellig dorpje (Wapen van Ruinen is een aanrader!) en mooie natuur in de buurt. Ook de midgetgolf was een leuke baan, en het kabouterpad hebben ze leuk gedaan. Al met al zeker genoten!
