However, many guests point out that cleaning is inconsistent, particularly in the pool changing rooms and sometimes also in the lodges. Additionally, the restaurant is described as limited in opening hours and quality, leaving room for improvement.

    Overall, we had a wonderful stay at EuroParcs Ruinen.

    Our vacation home was cozy, nicely furnished, and—with one exception—clean. We especially liked the thoughtful decor, as it created a real sense of comfort. The amenities were also really good! There was even a smart TV, a refrigerator, and an oven. Everything was there and worked … perfectly.

    The staff were very nice and friendly. However, we only interacted with them during check-in and check-out, so we can’t say much about their other services.

    What we felt was missing was a more varied selection of recreational activities for children. There was a swimming pool, a few animals, and an outdoor playground and a bouncy castle, which was of course nice for the kids. Still, we would have liked a bit more variety—for example, craft nights, a kids’ disco, or other organized activities where the kids could have fun together and let off some steam. Such activities would have been especially great when the weather was bad. Perhaps the children’s program is more extensive in the summer, but of course we can’t say for sure.

    One thing that really bothered us was the cleanliness of the mattresses. Unfortunately, they were covered in hair from previous guests. We found that very unpleasant and unhygienic. Cleanliness should be a top priority, especially when it comes to the beds. That was really a shame, because the rest of the property was neat and well-maintained.

    Our conclusion: Overall, EuroParcs Ruinen is a lovely vacation park with cozy and well-equipped vacation homes. We felt comfortable and had a wonderful time. For families with children, however, a more varied recreational program would be desirable. They should also pay closer attention to cleaning the mattresses.

    Im Großen und Ganzen hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt im EuroParcs Ruinen.

    Unser Ferienhaus war gemütlich, schön eingerichtet und bis auf eine Ausnahme auch sauber. Besonders die liebevolle Dekoration hat uns gut gefallen, da sie für eine richtige Wohlfühlatmosphäre gesorgt hat. Auch die Ausstattung war wirklich gut! Es gab sogar einen Smart-TV, einen Kühlschrank und einen Backofen. Alles war vorhanden und hat einwandfrei funktioniert.

    Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und freundlich. Allerdings hatten wir nur beim Check-in und Check-out Kontakt mit ihnen, weshalb wir zum weiteren Service nicht viel sagen können.

    Was uns etwas gefehlt hat, war ein abwechslungsreicheres Freizeitangebot für Kinder. Es gab ein Schwimmbad, ein paar Tiere sowie draußen einen Spielplatz und eine Hüpfburg, was natürlich schön für die Kinder war. Trotzdem hätten wir uns etwas mehr Abwechslung gewünscht, beispielsweise Bastelabende, eine Kinderdisco oder andere organisierte Aktivitäten, bei denen die Kinder gemeinsam Spaß haben und sich austoben können. Gerade bei schlechtem Wetter wären solche Angebote toll gewesen. Vielleicht ist das Kinderprogramm im Sommer umfangreicher, das können wir natürlich nicht beurteilen.

    Ein Punkt, der uns wirklich gestört hat, war die Sauberkeit der Matratzen. Diese waren leider voller Haare von vorherigen Gästen. Das fanden wir sehr unangenehm und unhygienisch. Gerade bei den Betten sollte besonders auf Sauberkeit geachtet werden. Das war wirklich schade, denn der Rest des Hauses war ordentlich und gepflegt.

    Unser Fazit: Insgesamt ist EuroParcs Ruinen ein schöner Ferienpark mit gemütlichen und gut ausgestatteten Ferienhäusern. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Für Familien mit Kindern wäre ein abwechslungsreicheres Freizeitprogramm allerdings wünschenswert. Auch bei der Reinigung der Matratzen sollte genauer hingeschaut werden.

    Trotz dieser Kritikpunkte war es für uns insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt!

    We ended up in Ruinen after making a last-minute booking.
    Pure nature as far as the eye can see!
    We were greeted very warmly and felt right at home.
    The park itself features a lovely little swimming pool, mini-golf and junior golf, an outdoor pool (in the summer), a small indoor playground, foosball tables both outside and inside, a … ping-pong table, and a beautiful playground. Not to mention: bunnies, pigs, ponies, and chickens / free-range chickens.
    From here, you can go on great bike rides (the off-road trails through the forest are especially great)
    We stayed in the house with 2 adults and 3 children (ages 5, 8, and 12) and had plenty of space! There could be a few more plates and sets of cutlery so you don’t have to wash dishes every day, and the area under the beds could be cleaned more thoroughly 🤭

    All in all, it was a very nice stay, and we’d love to come back

    Wir sind mit einer Überraschungsbuchung in Ruinen gelandet.
    Natur pur, soweit das Auge reicht!
    Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlten uns wohl.
    Der Park selbst bietet ein schönes kleines Schwimmbad, Mini und Zwergengolf , ein Freibad (im Sommer), einen kleinen Indoorspielplatz, Kicker draußen und innen ,eine Tischtennisplatte und einen schönen Spielplatz. Nicht zu vergessen: Häschen, schweine ,Ponys und Hühner / Laufenden.
    Von hier aus lassen sich tolle Radtouren unternehmen ( besonders toll sind die Offroadrouten durch den Wald)
    Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern (5,8,12) im Haus und hatten ausreichend Platz! Ein paar mehr Teller und Besteck dürfte da sei , so dass man nicht jeden Tag abwaschen muss und unter den Betten dürfte gründlicher gereinigt werden 🤭

    Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt und wir würden wieder kommen
