In the heart of beautiful Drenthe, close to the charming town of Borger, lies Hunzedal Holiday Park. Surrounded by the forests, heathlands and dolmens of the Hondsrug, this is the ideal destination for families who want to combine nature, relaxation and adventure. Take a dip in the subtropical swimming pool with outdoor pool, water slide and rapids, enjoy exciting activities in the Adventure Hall with climbing wall, archery and an underground labyrinth, or enjoy a sunny day by the recreational lake. Sports enthusiasts are also well catered for with tennis, padel, mini golf, bowling and a multi-purpose sports field. Thanks to the Kids Club, playgrounds, the Fun & Entertainment programme and the cosy brasserie, there is always something to do for young and old.

Please note: until further notice, swimming in the recreational lake is not advised due to water quality. Before using the recreational lake, ask at reception for the latest situation.

Adventure for the whole family in Drouwen Sand

Just 6 kilometres from the park is Drouwen Sand Amusement Park, a welcoming family amusement park where children can have fun for hours. From thrilling attractions for real daredevils to play equipment for the youngest children: there is something to enjoy for every age. Walking through the nature of the Hondsrug and Drenthe Aa

Holiday Park Hunze Valley is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands. The UNESCO Global Geopark The Hondsrug is known for its centuries-old landscapes, extensive forests, heathlands and impressive dolmens. Just 14 kilometres from the park is Drenthe Aa National Park, the best-preserved stream and village landscape in Western Europe. Here, you can walk past winding streams, ponds, sandy paths and historic village greens. The Treetop Trail, 7 kilometres away, is also highly recommended. During this special walk, you literally walk among the treetops and discover nature from a completely different perspective. A paradise for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.

Wildlands, Orvelte and Westerbork Camp

Within a radius of 25 kilometres, you will find several of Drenthe's best-known attractions. Take a trip around the world in one day at WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen, where you come face to face with elephants, polar bears and lions. For a step back in time, visit Orvelte Museum Village, an authentic Drenthe village with monumental farms, craft shops and museums. The Westerbork Camp Memorial Centre also leaves a lasting impression. This historic location tells the story of an important period in Dutch history and offers visitors an impressive and educational experience. Together, these outings provide a varied mix of nature, culture, history and adventure during your stay.

  • Fireworks are not permitted: private fireworks are prohibited in the Netherlands, and you may not set off fireworks of any kind. The park does not carry out checks, so we cannot guarantee a completely quiet, firework-free night.
  • The traditional carbide shooting takes place in the region, a New Year's Eve tradition that is also listed as intangible cultural heritage. Fireworks may also be set off in the immediate vicinity of the park.

    What a filthy cottage we ended up with. Here we are, with an 8-month-old baby and a son who’s almost 5, stuck in a cottage full of dust. It wasn’t cleaned very well at all; it doesn’t feel fresh to us or our kids. Ugh, I’m never coming back here—it’s truly the worst Landal park I’ve ever stayed at! If only I’d read the reviews first—I’m really … kicking myself for not doing that. I hope that if people read the reviews, they’ll stop going to this terrible Landal park—don’t let your vacation get ruined!!

    Wat een smerig huisje hebben wij gekregen. Zitten we dan met een baby van 8 maanden en zoontje van bijna 5 jaar in een huisje vol stof. Het is heel slecht schoongemaakt, het voelt niet fris voor ons en onze kinderen. Bah ik kom hier nooit meer, het is echt het slechtste landal park dat ik ooit heb gehad! Had ik maar eerst de reviews gelezen, daar baal ik ontzettend van dat ik dat niet heb gedaan. Ik hoop dat als mensen de reviews lezen, niet meer naar deze slechte landal park gaan, laat je vakantie niet verpesten!!
