Looking for a fun glamping break in the middle of nature? At Vakantiepark Hunzedal 15 you stay in a cosy, detached safari tent surrounded by trees and birdsong. It’s the perfect mix of camping feeling and comfort – ideal if you love the outdoors but still want a bit of luxury.

Inside, the tent feels warm and inviting, with sturdy canvas walls, an electric heater for cooler evenings and a TV for a relaxed movie night. There are two separate bedrooms: one with a comfortable double bed and one with two single beds. It’s a great setup for families with kids or a small group of friends on an active holiday.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped for simple meals, so you can easily make breakfast, lunch or a quick dinner. Start your day with a fresh coffee and step straight onto your private veranda, where a picnic table is waiting for you. This is the place for long breakfasts, card games with the kids or a drink under the stars.

The safari tent doesn’t have its own bathroom, but the sanitary buildings on the park are clean, modern and just a short walk away. You also have a nearby parking spot, so you never have to carry your luggage too far. Pets are not allowed here, which makes this an attractive option if you prefer a peaceful, pet-free and more allergy‑friendly stay.

Vakantiepark Hunzedal lies close to Borger, in the green heart of Drenthe. From your tent you can easily explore the many walking and cycling trails through forests and heathland. Don’t miss the Hunebedcentrum, where you learn all about the ancient dolmens that make this region so special. Fancy a day in the city? Emmen, about 20 km away, offers nice shops, terraces and restaurants for a change of scenery.

After a day outside, you can have dinner at one of the nearby bistros or bring back a takeaway to enjoy on your veranda. It’s glamping the way it should be: plenty of nature, plenty of comfort, and plenty of time together. Please note: the swimming pool at the park will be closed for maintenance from 5 to 11 January 2026.

    Our stay in the safari tent at Holiday Park Hunzedal was simply delightful! The tent was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the charm of glamping, We especially appreciated the open kitchen, which made cooking a breeze, The location is perfect for exploring the nearby Hunebed Center, just a short walk away, The kids had fun at the outdoor pool and nearby park, All in all, a great escape in nature with just enough luxury to keep everyone happy!
