We had a wonderful stay at De Parel van Horsterwold in Zeewolde. We stayed in a log cabin with a sauna, which was spacious enough for two people. The cabin features a heat pump for both cooling and heating, as well as a pellet stove, which adds to the cozy atmosphere.

The park is located in a beautiful, green … setting on the outskirts of Zeewolde and is wonderfully peaceful. The layout and natural surroundings make it a great place to completely unwind. In addition, the resort features a wellness area and its own restaurant, which rounds out the stay perfectly.

A minor criticism was the large number of flies in the cottage and the dirty cutlery and dishes.

All in all, a lovely place for a relaxing getaway for two. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for peace and quiet, nature, and a little extra comfort! Read more Show less

We're staying at the RV park.
And every time, we enjoy the peace, space, and nature!

One bathroom is actually not enough for 12 people.
The kitchen and bathroom are actually in need of an update.
Otherwise, good location, swimming pool, and hot tub.

I stayed here with my dog and had a lovely time. The room was cozy, the bed was soft and I slept really well. It’s a great place for one or two people.

I enjoyed using the barbecue and the sauna and I especially liked that I could reserve the sauna. There was also an oven in the lounge, so I got to do some baking. The mountain bike was a … perfect fit for me.

We had a wonderful stay. The park is truly beautiful and has been designed with care and a focus on sustainability. It’s completely at one with nature, and hats off to the design of the gardens and landscaping.

The bungalows are lovely, too. We stayed in a house with a hot tub and a rooftop terrace. Sipping a bubbly in the private … wood-fired hot tub under the starry sky is a true treat. Dinner at the restaurant on our first night was also delicious, and Stefan was a true host.

We do have a few suggestions for improvement, though:

The bathrooms—especially the showers—need to be cleaned more thoroughly, and if you provide soap, it would be nice if the dispensers were full.

A small towel and a hook in the bathroom—otherwise, the sink and soap are pointless.

There aren’t enough wine glasses or tea glasses for 4 or 6 people. There aren’t any espresso cups or similar items either.

There are lids, but no matching pots, so we couldn’t cook.

There is no teapot.

The refrigerator was set to the freezer setting, so the food was frozen the next morning and unusable.

Three firelighters for the hot tub is a bit minimalistic. There’s a board on the terrace that’s raised because the post underneath is too high. We know you can really hurt your toe on that in the dark. Also, there’s no step leading into our hot tub.

The cushions for the outdoor chairs on the rooftop terrace are wet—perhaps, for durability, a storage box could be placed on the rooftop terrace to hold them.

There are no cushions for the patio next to the hot tub. There’s also no umbrella, but there is a stand.

The hooks in the kitchen are missing.

The living room couch is uncomfortable and covered in stains. There are no molton covers on the mattress topper, which is completely worn out.

Occasionally, a staff member makes a rounds check through the public wellness area. The hot tub is really, really dirty. So is the sauna. The same empty beer bottles, underwear, and hammam towels have been lying around for days.

Mike, the host, is a bit stiff and unfriendly. The owner couple, however, is super nice and hospitable.

But this is really meant as constructive criticism. We’d love to come back again to see how things have improved. Read more Show less
