The safari tent is a luxury safari tent suitable for up to 4 people, an ideal accommodation for a family or group vacation! With an area of 25m2. Eat together at the large table with chairs, throw the front of the tent completely open and enjoy the view and fresh air even more. Prepare meals in the full kitchen and unwind at the end of the day on one of the luxurious chairs or in one of the 2 bedrooms. In one bedroom you will find a large double bed, and in the other you will find a bunk bed. With a length of 2 meters, the beds are suitable for both children and adults.

What you should know about the park

Camping Eefting is located near the Tjeukemeer, the largest lake in Friesland, where you can enjoy peace, space and water. Come glamping at the farm campsite, with horses, of the Eefting family. You can even go horseback riding or take lessons. About 500 meters from Camping Eefting you can swim and possibly moor your boat. There are also cozy water sports places in the area such as Lemmer, Terherne (chameleon village) and Langweer.

Guests love the horses – children can take lessons, help in the stables, and enjoy trail rides – and the very clean, tidy sanitary facilities with free hot water. The peaceful location within walking distance of Lake Tjeukemeer, the spacious pitches with electricity and water, and the play equipment make it a great base for families.     We stayed in the Clamping tent for 13 days. It was a great stay! The tent has everything you need, and you can even cook there using a gas stove. The kids were able to take riding lessons and go on trail rides regularly. You should definitely rent bikes while you’re there if you’re not traveling by car, since the nearest supermarket is about 4 km away. The owner, Eddy Eefting, will help you arrange it. The bikes were even delivered to us.
    While you’re there, it’s worth visiting Joure or taking the train from Heerenveen to Leeuwarden. Both are great cities worth seeing. Leeuwarden has so much to offer!
    You can walk to a beautiful swimming spot on the Tjeukemeer. However, you can stand anywhere there because the water is very shallow. The deepest point is 2 meters.
    The campground is very peaceful, but the surrounding area also has plenty to offer. While we were there, the Frisian Hot Air Balloon Festival was taking place. That was really lovely! There are also lots of children at the campground.

    Wir waren für 13 Tage im clamping Zelt. Der Aufenthalt war toll! Im Zelt hat man alles was man benötigt und kann dort selbst mit Gas kochen. Die Kinder konnten regelmäßig am Reitunterricht und Ausritten teilnehmen. Man sollte sich vor Ort auf jeden Fall Fahrräder ausleihen, wenn man nicht mit Auto anreist, denn der nächste Supermarkt ist ca. 4 km entfernt. Der Inhaber Eddy Eefting hilft einem beim organisieren. Die Fahrräder wurden uns dann sogar geliefert.
    Vor Ort lohnt sich der Besuch in Joure oder mit der Bahn von Heerenveen nach Leeuwarden. Beides tolle sehenswerte Städte. Leeuwarden hat sehr viel zu bieten!
    Fußläufig kann man eine schöne Badestelle am Tjeukemeer erreichen. Allerdings kann man dort überall stehen, da das Wasser sehr flach ist. Tiefste Stelle 2 Meter.
    Auf dem Campingplatz hat man viele Ruhe aber die Umgebung bietet auch einiges. Als wir dort waren, fand das friesische Heißluftballonfest Stadt. Das war wirklich schön! Es sind auch viele Kinder auf dem Campingplatz.

    A small campground with horses near a large lake. The surrounding area is wonderful for biking and hiking. The owners are friendly, and it’s so much fun to be so close to the beautiful horses and foals. From time to time, there’s an opportunity to take a riding lesson, for both beginners and advanced riders. The restrooms and showers were always clean. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

    Kleine camping met paarden vlak bij een groot meer. Heerlijk om te fietsen en wandelen in de omgeving. Aardige eigenaren en superleuk om zo dichtbij de prachtige paarden en veulens te zijn. Af en toe is er de mogelijkheid om een rijles mee te doen, zowel voor beginners als voor gevorderden. De toiletten en douchen waren steeds schoon. Ik kan deze plek van harte aanbevelen.
