The recreation park is situated on the Meine Sleat, which forms a connection between the Sneekermeer and the Pikmeer. It is possible to rent a sloop or motorboat at Tusken de Marren to explore Friesland's water paradise. The Sneekermeer is one of the most famous lakes in Friesland. For a tasty breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drink on the terrace, Picknickers is the place to be. This hip food bar is located in Terherne, about 6 km from the glamping in Akkrum. Enjoy the delicious dishes from the ever-changing menu and the beautiful view over the Sneekermeer Lake. You can go there for a classic carbonara but also for an Indian yellow curry or a vega hair salon. The food bar lives up to its name by offering many of its products on the go. So load up your picnic basket and enjoy all the goodies they lovingly prepare for you at Picknickers at one of the other beautiful locations in Friesland.

Akkrum may not be a big town, but you certainly won't be bored. Take a nice village walk or enjoy one of the beautiful parks. Visit Coopersburg, a beautiful monumental building with a landscaped garden with ponds and bridges. Also don't forget to visit Kromme Knilles and Manke Meine, the "giants of Akkrum." Still every year in May "Reuzedei" is celebrated in Akkrum.

At the ice cream farm Boereiis delicious ice cream has been made in the traditional way for years. Besides tasting for yourself how delicious it is, you can also take a look at the cowsheds and pet the dairy cows. Also, take a look at the milking robot and agricultural machinery. It is even possible to take a guided tour of the farm. Meanwhile, the little ones can have lots of fun in the large playground.

    Lokatie: Akkrum ligt midden in Friesland, binnen een half uur rijden ben je bij alle grote plaatsen. Akkrum zelf is een leuke plaats, het is zeker de moeite waard om ‘De Griene Kuier’ te lopen. In het dorpje zitten ook diverse eettentjes. Het park: Mooi opgezet park, vrijstaande vakantiehuizen, met eigen aanlegsteiger. Beheer / onderhoud / schoonmaak Het huisje wat wij hadden gehuurd zat onder de spinnenrag en spinnen. De ragebol hing op de kapstok, kennelijk was het de bedoeling dat wij zelf deze schoonmaak moesten doen. Zowel binnen als buiten hing het vol met spinnen, rag en spinnen. Daarnaast was het huisje ook gewoon vies, vlekken op de bank, kunstnagel van de vorige huurder op een tuinstoel, badkamer tegels met vlekken, plukken haar, inlegkruisjes op de grond van de slaapkamer. De schoonmaakploeg heeft hier kennelijk geen oog voor / of geen taken voor. Ook hadden wij storing op de TV. Receptie Prettige ontvangst. Klacht over TV werd meteen serieus opgepakt. Helaas hebben wij klachten over schoonmaak te laat gemeld en werd er ook niets mee aangedaan (tip: direct / uiterlijk binnen 24 uur melden). Bij uitcheck nogmaals klachten aangegeven, ze gaven aan serieus te handelen en ons op de hoogte te houden; helaas is ook dit niet gebeurd. Samenvatting. Prima park, maar technisch beheer en schoonmaak is ruim onvoldoende. Voor ons geen 2e keer in dit park.

    Heel fijn verblijf gehad met familie. Accomodatie en locatie zijn top.s. Jong en oud hebben genoten. Fijn dat er veel service was.

    Mooi bungalow park aan het water in Akkrum. Ons huisje met eigen steiger zag er goed uit. Was niet heel schoon en de bedden waren verschrikkelijk. Verder een prima vertoeven aan het water. Met een boot erbij kom je helemaal ter rust.

    Het huisje stond wat vol met accessoires wat het rommelig maakt. De kast met serviesgoed ging moeilijk open en niet alles was makkelijk te pakken uit de kast. En de zijkant en muur naast de kast waren vies. De schuifdeuren van de slaapkamerkast waren stuk en gingen moeizaam open en dicht. Volgens ons is hier iets aan te doen. Maakt het meteen iets aangenamer. Plek is mooi zo aan het water met een bootje voor de deur.
