Tiny House - 2 persons

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4,5/5) Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at EuroParcs Bad Hoophuizen and would come again. We particularly liked the quiet location right on the water. The immediate surroundings are ideal for cycling tours and the whole region is very bike-friendly. The bicycle rental service, the swimming pool and the fenced-in dog area, which is very practical for dog owners, are also positive highlights. The staff were friendly and check-in was straightforward. Everything was explained to us clearly on arrival, so we quickly found our way around. Our vacation home was modernly furnished, well-maintained and clean inside. However, the terrace, roof terrace and grounds did not look quite as well maintained as the interior due to numerous cobwebs and dirt. We were not completely convinced by the room layout. Although the house is designed for six people, we found the bedrooms to be quite small. There were four of us and we found it a bit cramped in places. In addition, there is only one separate toilet with two bathrooms. For the price, we would have liked a little more space here. There is a mini market on the premises for your daily needs. The range is practical, but the prices are a little higher. The biggest criticism is the internet supply. The Wi-Fi in the vacation home was very poor and practically unusable for streaming. Mobile reception in the house was also very weak with a German Telekom card, so mobile internet was hardly an option. Despite these points of criticism, the positive aspects clearly outweighed them for us. Anyone looking for peace, nature, water and good cycling opportunities will find a very nice vacation destination here. With improvements to the Wi-Fi and a little more maintenance of the outdoor areas, we could even give it full marks.

We had booked the L-Cube 6 "on the water" and were very happy with the accommodation. The house is not right next to the road, but in the second row to the road, right on the water and less than 100m to the beach. A big advantage for us was that you can hear and see very little of the "through traffic" and don't feel like you're sitting on a platter on the terrace in the evening (see last photo for an example). Another plus was the air conditioning and the fact that all the bedroom windows were fitted with mosquito nets. We liked the location of the complex, which is centrally located and easy to reach the surrounding towns. Big praise to the Windy Waters team on site, great young people who gave their all to teach us how to windsurf ;-). The beach with the "small bays" was never overcrowded and you could always find a shady spot under a tree even in the heat. The main beach was much busier. In summary, a beautiful, quiet and safe place, just right to slow down.

Beautiful park, really nicely set up with lots of different cottages. Nice little beach!

The park is ok. Some of the houses are getting on in years. But the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Our reason for coming every year is the WindyWater surf school. Simply top top top. Super great trainers and staff, always good laume and understanding for almost everything. Stay as you are... See you next year...

We really enjoyed our stay in this park. Everything was very clean, well organized, peaceful, and quiet, with a beautiful view. The house was also spotless and very well cleaned — there were no spider webs inside or outside. Another big positive was that there were no mosquitoes. It was truly a very relaxing and pleasant experience staying here.

The pitch, because it's not really any more at the moment, is nicely laid out and will certainly be nice one day. Showers are available in a container facility with shower curtains (5) for 20-25 pitches. WC facilities are also in the containers. A sink with 5L under-sink unit, also for the whole site :-( Everything is provisional at the moment as the old building has probably been demolished... unfortunately too expensive and a real shame. At least the weather is great!
