    Great

What a special place, and how wonderful that a campground like this exists. We stayed here for two weeks in one of the beach cottages and look back on our vacation with great gratitude.

The beach cottage was a wonderful place for us. The cable car right outside was a big hit with the kids, as was the little play pond. The campground is also car-free, which gave us, as parents, a lot of peace and freedom.

It was our first time at a Christian campground, and we found the experience truly special. From the very first day, we had wonderful encounters with other people, and our children were immediately welcomed by the other kids. I once heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” At this campground, I experienced for the first time how wonderful it can be to let go a little more and allow other people to play a role in our children’s growth and development.

During the Sunday church service, for example, our son was warmly welcomed by a mother who was helping with the kids’ service. And for the first time, we felt comfortable letting him walk back to our cabin on his own after kids’ club.

We also really enjoyed the vacation program. All kinds of activities are organized, from kids’ club and children’s theater to Bible studies and sing-alongs around the campfire. We loved that our children were engaged with Bible-related activities every day in a fun and natural way. And we, too, were inspired and moved during this vacation.

There are also plenty of practical amenities at the campground. Every morning starting at 8:30 a.m., you can pick up fresh rolls at the little shop. At the Dolce Vita restaurant, you can enjoy a delicious meal while the kids have fun in the indoor play area. An extra fun feature is that they can access this “secret garden” through a little tunnel in the restaurant. The snack bar offers delicious fries, snacks, and ice cream at reasonable prices. The swimming pool also looks very nice.

Another must-try is the wellness center. If you’re not staying in a luxury cottage (where wellness access is included as standard), you can use the saunas and jacuzzi for 1.5 hours for €10 per person. We did this a few times and loved it, especially when combined with a massage from Beauty by Clementine.

During our stay, we had two power outages in our cottage. Of course, that can happen, but what we especially appreciated was how quickly the issue was resolved. After sending a WhatsApp message to the maintenance service, the problem was fixed within a short time on both occasions.

There’s also a lot to do in the surrounding area. We really enjoyed the corn maze. Other great day trips include the Bostoren in Putten, Amersfoort Zoo, Julianatoren, the Christians for Israel visitor center, and Apenheul.

What a special place, what wonderful encounters, and what a sense of freedom we experienced here as a family. As I wrote at the beginning: it’s wonderful that a place like this exists. At times, it even felt a bit like a foretaste of the coming Kingdom.

We’d love to come back again!

Ik leerde ooit de uitspraak: "It takes a village to raise a child."

A really nice campground with friendly staff. The kids loved it and had a wonderful time.

We stayed in the safari lodge in a lovely, quiet part of the park. Everything was easily accessible from where we were staying. The only real downside was the extremely poor ventilation/exhaust system while cooking. In addition, there’s very little storage space in the kitchen. Even a small shelf would make a huge difference! The bed, on the other hand, was a real plus—especially for vacation accommodations.

The bistro has a wide selection. The sandwiches were good, and the service was very friendly. The staff were very friendly every day.

This location is definitely worth a repeat visit, so we’d love to come back again.

Alles was goed bereikbaar vanaf waar we zaten.
