Modus 6 - 6 persons

Definitely do not book here if you want to camp in a tent. The campsites that EuroParcs shows on its website are no longer in use. Instead, you’ll be placed on a gravel lot littered with large, loose rocks, debris, and sharp shells. My new tent was damaged as a result. EuroParcs refuses to compensate me for the damage; this matter is now being handled by my travel insurance.
The spots that are still on grass are also all uneven and on a slope.
The park’s layout is illogical and extremely dangerous. Unlike other parks, this site is not fenced off.
The campground borders directly on a public dike where cyclists and e-bikers race by at high speeds.
To even get to the restroom and shower building—assuming you haven’t already tripped over the loose stones on the way there—you have to cross this dike, constantly risking being hit by a bike. Not suitable for small children or older people who might trip over the stones.
The restroom facilities themselves are a disaster: Completely open to the public: Since the park is open, anyone cycling or walking along the dike can simply walk right into the restroom building and use it. There is absolutely no privacy or sense of safety.
Far too little capacity: For the entire campground, there are only 3 toilets, 1 urinal, and 2 showers for women and 2 for men. This leads to long lines, and limiting use to 5 minutes—followed by another 5-minute wait for the next person to shower—is completely inadequate.
Furthermore, the service at this campground is severely lacking: No facilities & supervision: There are no activities for children, and there is zero supervision at the pool.
Restaurant: Due to a major staff shortage, it’s almost impossible to get service, or people are simply forgotten.
Remote location: To find a restaurant or store, you have to travel to surrounding towns or villages, which are quite a distance away.

The park could have also provided information in advance that the ferry isn’t running and the water level is low, so there are no boats for rent.

Highly not recommended. Don’t let your vacation and your camping trip here be ruined.

To end on a positive note, it is a beautiful area; if the water level were high, you could get to Dieren faster by ferry.
The food at the restaurant is actually quite good.
And the staff is generally really friendly and helpful.

A beautiful, well-maintained resort. We stayed in a house that slept 10 people. It was clean and had everything we needed. I’m deducting one star because there were no mosquito screens—at least in the bedrooms! This meant we couldn’t easily sleep with the windows open at night. And that at 38 degrees!
Bicycles, boats, and paddleboats are available for rent. Unfortunately, the marina was closed due to low water levels. The swimming beach was also only partially usable due to the lack of water. The small pool is well-suited for children up to 12 years old. However, there are no slides or similar attractions at the pool. The adjacent playground is okay, but there’s room for improvement.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The small restaurant is perfectly adequate.
Conclusion: It’s recommended for those seeking peace and quiet as well as active families. (We spent 14 days cycling every day.)
The park can’t be held responsible for the low water level in the river.

One of the worst places I've ever visited. They're very "dog-unfriendly" here—there are "No Dogs Allowed" signs everywhere you look. Where are you supposed to walk your dog? And the security staff keeps a very close eye on everything. We left two days earlier than we’d booked… this was our first and last time here.

We had a fantastic stay at Beach House No. 12. It was clean, in a great location close to everything, and very quiet.
The area is great for biking.
We were here with a 3-year-old, and although this park isn’t really suitable for him (not much to do—there are a few playgrounds, but they’re rather small), we had a wonderful time.
The restaurant also serves delicious food; we ate there a few times.

“A quick trip to the store” is a different story, but that had its own charm. Technically, the nearest large store is about 3 kilometers away, but since you’d have to take the ferry—and it’s closed during low tide—that immediately turned into a 17-kilometer trip :-) Luckily, the surroundings are beautiful.
A few minor issues with our cottage (reported to the front desk)
—there’s an annoying beeping sound coming from one of the nearby cottages. I couldn’t pinpoint the source, but it was distracting when sitting outside
- You can swing both front doors open—unfortunately, the right-hand door is a bit stiff, so it doesn’t latch completely, and once it’s open, you can’t close it on your own. You really have to lift and push
—the bathroom window can’t be tilted; it’s broken.

I do think it gets terribly hot in these cottages (without AC); one day it was 26 degrees and it was sweltering.

We’ll definitely be back—without the kids—

As for all the dog reviews, they’re definitely valid (I don’t have a dog). The park also has a large dog-off-leash area, and there are plenty of posts with bags for dog waste available.

Tip: If you’re going cycling, check to make sure the water level isn’t too low and that the ferries are running. Otherwise, you might end up cycling an extra 20 kilometers just to cover a 2-kilometer stretch.
